hmm that's something different.
I make probably the error to mix the french debate and the american one.
For me the problem is the institutionalization of sex and not the fact of being gay.

Also a problem in france (but i read that you have that too), is school propaganda.
In the past you had "you are white and your ancestors where supporter of slavery", now you will have sexual education against homophobia (but let's protect our children against sex... :disgust )

So you walked in on your wife watching TV and saw two men kissing and... That makes you feel like "they" have an "agenda".

The only time I've seen two men kiss on TV was on Big Bang when Raj kissed Howard by mistake.

There have been court cases recently in Texas (and other red states) where people were arrested for being gay.

My question is why so much space between each line?

sodomy is also illegal, and there has been arrests based on that as well?

I don't even know where to begin.

Do you even know why pride marches started? I am sure you have vaguely heard of Stonewall but if you think that was 'the incident' and then everything was okay you are mistaken.

How about situations such as the Upstairs Lounge Massacre? If you wish to be educated then by all means read this Article.

Otherwise, I'll simply sum it up as 1973 United States. Thirty two members of a gay church died when the place they gathered for after service drinks was firebombed.

This is the reverend of the church's body burnt so badly that he was fused to the window.

http://pickup.hustlercash.com/newsle...airslounge.jpg

All because of the the gender to which they were attracted.

Fifteen years ago we had Matthew Sheppard and people still think it is all about the semantics of equality? Stonewall, Upstairs Lounge, Sheppard and any other high profile situations are just examples of what has gone unnoticed or with a blind eye turned by 'normals'.

So, you pass a law that stops 'propaganda' to youth. Which means if a teenager came to you because he thought he might be gay that you better not say anything positive or reassuring to him. Yeah, great law.

We are 40 years later and homophobia is not acceptable for me.
The society goes so fast that 20 years ago is another world.

But there is a enormous gap between this:

Do you really think that the real opinion of people changes so fast ?
The question is "why this change ?"
I find it weird and incomprehensible.

Here when you ask this question, lgbt activists answer "less religion", but there is a long time that religion is no more popular, so it can't be the answer.

I was just a few years ago that the Texas state sodomy law was struck down. There was a case where a gay guy had two gay friends staying with him. One of them was a guy he had hooked up with in the past and the other was a guy he was trying to hook up with now. The Ex was drunk, left to go buy some soda from a vending machine and got pissed off. He called the police and told them a black man with a gun was entering the apartment. The police showed up, entered the apartment though the unlocked door and found nothing but the other two guys getting after it in the bathroom.

The two were arrested for having gay sex and eventually fought the case to the US Supreme court which sided with them and struck down Texas's sodomy laws.

I think the internet has a lot to do with it. For starters it makes it easier for gay rights groups to organize, raise money, communicate etc. Also, I think more and more people are finding out that in reality they likely know and like a gay person be it someone they work with or someone in their family. It has a different affect on people when it is your life.

Take Dick Cheney. For as long as he was in office he was against gay marriage even when his daughter came out. Then he leaves office, sees that his daughter is happy and in a good relationship and suddenly he is fine with it. I think he was likely fine with it all along, he just couldn't say so for political reasons. There are likely a lot of people like that who don't care if gay people get married, but for some reason were never able to see it and now with communication and technology what it is they are able to see that there are a lot of people who feel the same way and it isn't really a big deal.

Perhaps you should have read the rest. It isn't just what happened 40 years ago it is about that sort of thing just being another incident of the things that happened before and then again after it.

I'm glad homophobia isn't acceptable to you after all those years but for many of us it was never acceptable.

Also, the person that started this thread didn't mention gay marriage. Believe it or not, whilst I agree with gay marriage and believe it to be an important issue, it isn't the only issue of equality in the LGBT community. You should generally anti-marriage. So, focus on straight marriage too and have fun bringing that down.

I AGREE!!!

Pussy gives birth to new fags every minute of every day around the world. Without pussy, fags wouldn't exist. We owe our faggotry existence to pussy and the brave straight men who fuck it, cum in it, and cause that faggot sperm to fertilize that faggot egg making the faggot babies that grow up to be the faggots you know and love today.

Thank you :thumbsup
