ITT: Anybody that really cares
|
You know the more I look at it the more it seems That Anderson got out classed and that he was using the taunting in desperation more so than usual. These gifs are from some other MMA forums and where people have pointed out most of this before.
http://www.mma-core.com/gifs/1000259...va_UFC_162.gif Weidman takes him down 30 seconds into the round. Silva getting taken down is a fairly rare thing. Especially right away. http://www.mma-core.com/gifs/1000259...an_UFC_162.gif Silva does some taunting here but it looks as if he was really trying to KO him. Those shots were fast and hard. If Weidman weren't ready for them, he could have been rocked. http://www.mma-core.com/gifs/1000259...rt_UFC_162.gif Weidman seems to have Silva's number. He seems ready for the clowning. He leads with a weak punch and then follows up with a real one. Did it connect and do some damage? They say in boxing if a man smiles after a punch it means he was really hurt. No matter. The next time Silva does this Weidman follows it with a left hook instead which drops him. https://imageshack.us/a/img580/6175/8rr.gif Look at Weidman dodge Silva's attacks. He was basically making a fool of Silva but without the purposeful clowning. Those strikes from Silva weren't sparring strikes either. They were meant to maim and they were fast. In between rounds Silva was extremely fired up. I've never seen him do that in between rounds before. It could be that he thought Weidman was making a fool of him (and clearly that later happened). |

The shots he was throwing weren't pussy shots by any means, and certainly not shots from someone trying to throw a fight... The reality is, it was nothing more than Silva getting beat at his own game. He took a risk taunting and goofing around, and paid the price for it. |

ill adress the kick anderson threw .. easy... anyone who fights here.. davexxx , anthony .. anyone one of these guys can take my fucking head of they are much bigger than me and know what they are doing... very easy for a pro.. of anderson's caliber to throw intense kicks and be sure to not hit the target....
it's called control... and anderson has it.. look I hate the guy but he is talented.. he was the champ for a reason... I understand why he does what he does in the ring... Look if I hold the belt.. and you want it... come get it motherfucker.. im going to do just enough to defend it.. it's up to you to put on the show not me... I already got the belt.. I just have to defend it.... anderson was amazing at defending his belt... wideman is a great fighter.. he was fading because he blew his wad in the ring first round with anderson silva.. any of us would.. well.. 99.9999999% of you would not even get within 10ft of the ring but the remainder of us would all be scared shitless to stand in there cause you have watched tape after tape after tape.. you know his holes.. you know his strengths... and you know he's got KO power for everywhere.... look what he did to forrest on the backup at 205... and forrest can take a punch .... he hit vitor with a half ass front kick that put vitor in heaven cause now he's all religious.... anderson can fight.. anderson would not get clipped with a baby left hook that would take him out.... anderson took a dive plain and simple... champions don't fall like that..... he wants to box.. make money.. why not |
That's true but he's 38 too. Look at what happened to Fedor. Arguably he's been fading a bit in the last couple years. His style is dependent on being faster than his opponents. He had some trouble against Chael too, especially in the first fight.
Arguably he was scared of the takedowns. On other forums people have been pointing this out. He started off with a traditional stance with his hands up but once Weidman got the takedown he started dropping his hands. The theory was that it helped him defend (stuff) against the takedown and that it encouraged Weidman to stand and trade on his feet instead of trying to take him down. Before he got knocked out Joe Rogan was going on and on about this that by playing into it Weidman was making a mistake. It makes some sense to me anyway. |

I personally don't care how much you know, don't know, claim to know or think you know about MMA. I watched the fight, several times, and it reminded me a lot of his fight with Maia... But I guess he threw that fight too huh? ;) But hey, at least you got the trash talking part down... now all you gotta do is learn how to beat those better than you and one day you might become champ yourself (lol) |
