ITT: Anybody that really cares

You know the more I look at it the more it seems That Anderson got out classed and that he was using the taunting in desperation more so than usual. These gifs are from some other MMA forums and where people have pointed out most of this before.

http://www.mma-core.com/gifs/1000259...va_UFC_162.gif

Weidman takes him down 30 seconds into the round. Silva getting taken down is a fairly rare thing. Especially right away.

http://www.mma-core.com/gifs/1000259...an_UFC_162.gif

Silva does some taunting here but it looks as if he was really trying to KO him. Those shots were fast and hard. If Weidman weren't ready for them, he could have been rocked.

http://www.mma-core.com/gifs/1000259...rt_UFC_162.gif

Weidman seems to have Silva's number. He seems ready for the clowning. He leads with a weak punch and then follows up with a real one. Did it connect and do some damage? They say in boxing if a man smiles after a punch it means he was really hurt. No matter. The next time Silva does this Weidman follows it with a left hook instead which drops him.

Look at Weidman dodge Silva's attacks. He was basically making a fool of Silva but without the purposeful clowning. Those strikes from Silva weren't sparring strikes either. They were meant to maim and they were fast.

In between rounds Silva was extremely fired up. I've never seen him do that in between rounds before. It could be that he thought Weidman was making a fool of him (and clearly that later happened).

Another one not shown above was that crescent/front kick Silva tried to hit him with... that fucker had enough force behind it to put Weidman on his ass if it landed.

The shots he was throwing weren't pussy shots by any means, and certainly not shots from someone trying to throw a fight... The reality is, it was nothing more than Silva getting beat at his own game. He took a risk taunting and goofing around, and paid the price for it.

Huh? I'm just flowing with the conversation. I don't particularly care, considering I can't stand the guy and was glad to see him get knocked out heh...

ill adress the kick anderson threw .. easy... anyone who fights here.. davexxx , anthony .. anyone one of these guys can take my fucking head of they are much bigger than me and know what they are doing... very easy for a pro.. of anderson's caliber to throw intense kicks and be sure to not hit the target....

it's called control... and anderson has it.. look I hate the guy but he is talented.. he was the champ for a reason...

I understand why he does what he does in the ring...

Look if I hold the belt.. and you want it... come get it motherfucker.. im going to do just enough to defend it.. it's up to you to put on the show not me... I already got the belt.. I just have to defend it....

anderson was amazing at defending his belt... wideman is a great fighter.. he was fading because he blew his wad in the ring first round with anderson silva.. any of us would.. well.. 99.9999999% of you would not even get within 10ft of the ring but the remainder of us would all be scared shitless to stand in there cause you have watched tape after tape after tape.. you know his holes.. you know his strengths... and you know he's got KO power for everywhere.... look what he did to forrest on the backup at 205... and forrest can take a punch .... he hit vitor with a half ass front kick that put vitor in heaven cause now he's all religious....

anderson can fight.. anderson would not get clipped with a baby left hook that would take him out.... anderson took a dive plain and simple... champions don't fall like that..... he wants to box.. make money.. why not

signupdamnit 07-08-2013 04:47 PM

That's true but he's 38 too. Look at what happened to Fedor. Arguably he's been fading a bit in the last couple years. His style is dependent on being faster than his opponents. He had some trouble against Chael too, especially in the first fight.

Arguably he was scared of the takedowns. On other forums people have been pointing this out. He started off with a traditional stance with his hands up but once Weidman got the takedown he started dropping his hands. The theory was that it helped him defend (stuff) against the takedown and that it encouraged Weidman to stand and trade on his feet instead of trying to take him down. Before he got knocked out Joe Rogan was going on and on about this that by playing into it Weidman was making a mistake. It makes some sense to me anyway.

You make it sound like Silva is invincible and could only ever lose if he did so on purpose... which tells me you actually know fuck all about MMA, or fighting period.

Two paragraphs of how a fighter who knows how to punch can do exactly that and one paragraph saying it was fake, Anderson was backing up for two swings and just ran out of room on the third. Dumb as hell but he did it.

He's a fighter though. I saw a couple of his fights. So that is going too far to say he knows nothing about MMA! I think people just have different opinions and see different things. You have to respect that.

I know I was saying it before the fight that Silva was due to lose. Mainly because of Father Time. But others thought no way.

Well, I've never heard of him so all I have to go by is what he says... and the nonsense he's spewing tells me he isn't a very good fighter and knows nothing about MMA or fighting... Probably why I've never heard of him.

Why are you trying so hard to prove something to someone that you never once met?

I personally don't care how much you know, don't know, claim to know or think you know about MMA. I watched the fight, several times, and it reminded me a lot of his fight with Maia... But I guess he threw that fight too huh? ;)

But hey, at least you got the trash talking part down... now all you gotta do is learn how to beat those better than you and one day you might become champ yourself (lol)

Then as a fighter you know what you are talking about. He didn't do it for cash so why would he throw the fight? He is a hero in Brazil. He is an ass in the ring but otherwise he is not a bad guy except being odd. Unless you mean he threw it away through carelessness but no way did he intend to lose. That makes zero sense for a guy in his spot. ZERO sense.

Anderson silva vs. Chris wideman on Super Bowl weekend....

and this wasn't a fix ?

Danza is accusing the greatest MMA fighter in history of purposefully throwing a fight without a shred of evidence. You don't have to respect that. As a matter of fact it makes him lose all the credibility he had as a guy who fought and is involved in professional MMA.

The 38 part is a huge factor. Plus, we don't know what happened in camp. He could have been knocked out, or hit pretty damn hard sparring & his on/off switch was still a bit temperamental. The bottom line is this: when Tyson lost to buster, I remember where I was like 911. I remember being in disbelief. Then, they started saying Tyson took a dive. Then the count was long for Douglas etc. The bottom line is no one could believe Tyson lost to a fighter like Douglas, a journeyman. During the fight I thought Tyson was ahead & would "get that one shot in" but watching it now he plain & simple straight up got beat & ktfo. People thought he was unbeatable. People thought silva was unbeatable. Seeing is believing. He lost.

Oh, so now it was a fix? Earlier you said it wasn't fixed, but that Silva threw the fight; which isn't the same thing (your own words). So which is it oh great and wise MMA expert?

Time to lay off the steroids methinks...
