Like you say Pseudonymous, there are far easier niches to make money in, non nude is one of the hardest niches to crack. A non nude site has no nudity to sell, so they've really got to use their brains and find a way of being better than a clothing catalog. It takes imagination, brains and talent to crack this niche, most would fail, most do fail, sites which were non nude gave up and added nudity. However, Zach's site is growing very fast despite being non nude. Like you say 10 years ago it was possible to do this, but in 2013 surely only a genius or someone gifted can create a hugely popular non nude site

his style is really nice, and i have never seen him hit on the models, but he will ask if they mind shooting non nude with him and i think for the most part the girls dig it.
definitively potential but he doesnt like hardcore styles - soft nude i think is where he is comfortable.

It's sad to see an entire industry almost work together to actually try and narrow their customer base.

If you were to go to any other industry, they'd be sitting there thinking "How can we make our product cheaper, and get it into the hands of more people". Then you'd go over to adult and you'd see a paysite owner trying to figure out how high he could possibly price his site, and coming up with ways that are essentially narrowing the customer base.

Very, very sad... But hey, whatever you need to say to convince yourself to keep your 20 year old pricing structure.

You're incorrect. Cut your price in half and you almost have to triple your sales/subscriber base just to make up the difference in revenue after configuring processing and other support related expenses, that is not even counting the additional cost of acquiring more members.

The $10 model has been tried and tried and tried again. It disappears quickly for a reason.

We had a client who wanted to price their iPad app at $20. Tried to convince them many times that it just wouldn't work, that they wouldn't make any sales. They wanted it at $20 though. They spent close to a year on the app store with little to no sales. Finally, after this time I was able to convince them to try a lower price. They wanted to do $15, or $10 - but I insisted they bring it down to $3-5. They did, and changed the price to $5. They made more sales the following month than they had in the entirety of the app being on the app store.

Whats funny is there is a gold rush with mobile and web right now. Every day mobile technology becomes cheaper, and mobile phones get into the hands of more and more people around the globe. The same goes for internet connections, and computers. It is absolutely incredible the sheer amount of people and data that is being added to the internet each day. Companies are falling head over heels trying to snatch up the emerging markets. Go to any big conference (in mainstream) and it's always a main focus. Yet again, you go to adult and it's like everyone is doing the exact opposite of what is understood and done in other industries. It is truly incredible to see the backwards ass methodologies used and spoken about in this industry.

I'm unsure why people bitch about how bad things are getting then turn around and poo poo on someone who is trying something different? That is insanity!

For crying out loud, how could you think that photo of all the pics on that huge tour is one of the best pics? Not only is the photographer and his flash evident in the reflection not once but twice which is amateurish as hell, but the model looks sad or annoyed not to mention super pale. She looks way better in the rear view in the reflection.
