The business model is not new: cam4, a site chaturbate took inspiration from (more than from mfc initially), sells adverts to anyone, directly or via ero-ads: we purchased adverts in cam4 and lots sites, esp. cams, fight to buy ad space in cam4, is always booked months in advance, with quite high prices. What it may be different here, is the traffic coming from affiliate which apparently is resold without any credit - now... if traffic comes from pay per lead this may be ok, just the revshare may be controversial.
Question for chaturbate, do you allow cam sites as advertisers? I tried to directly buy ads on chaturbate for tubecamgirl back in 2011 and 2012 and I was always told, that cam sites are not allowed to advertise. This made sense because "do not help competitors", but I wonder now, question: this limitation was removed, and you allow cam sites to advert, or not? As it is cam sites the ones who would like most to advertise there, you guess. Sakuralive/dxlive already asked you if you sell the Japanese traffic. By the way on tubecamgirl we made a different option for "leaks". The affiliate can put own html pieces in the site (popunder, banner, im ads) linking to other sites with own affiliate id, just preferably not other cam sites. This way traffic you send as affiliate, it sees tubecamgirl site of course, but also, in it will see your other banners embedded. We count impressions, but not clicks or anything, as it is html pieces you embed, we have no idea of tracking more than impressions. This is forever with unexpiring cookie, so if you user is returning many days, you can let him see different banners across time. A similar system could be made by chaturbate, where the affiliate who sends traffic (in revshare at leasdt) it gets option to show own banners to own viewers (or credit % of his traffic resells as someone said); while chaturbate would resell (and keep 100% from) only the traffic got from google or anyway no any affiliate id. Just exclude the revshare id's, as I think for pay per lead deal, traffic can be re-sold as part of the deal of paying for free user. |

Of course, some affiliates were upset and refused to promote us over it. The affiliates that do promote us are experiencing good conversions and were aware of the banners before they put links up. The only thing that is changing here is that we're selling ads on a pay-per-click basis. This is a good money making opportunity for those who wish to buy the traffic. |

This also answers dxlive/sakuralive question. But PS: most dating sites also are full of cam links, often owned by same program. For example if I advertise AFF, whoever signups to it then gets streamray cams links everywhere. Whoever send traffic to datinggold, sends basically to webcamclub too. And so on. |

The amount of active ads has doubled since yesterday.
Regardless what folks say, it's obviously working for Chaturbate. I'm wondering if the CTR's are turning into conversions for y'all. Would love to see some stats from some folks... |

How do you know? |

There were about 23 ads in the female category, yesterday. Today, there are around 53. The average bid has also gone up and people are bidding more for those spots. It's starting to get crowded. |

Let me guess, in the past you were a "Cam-Whore" and now you want to get it all and jumped over to the next level. If I am wrong and you are a Dutch guy who never did that, just let me know, but something tells me I'm right. I have nothing against cam-Girls at all, I respect them. But when they take over a program, they start making big mistakes. Just check chaturbate. Although the program is a great idea, they start going the Greed Way, and going that way is only going to destroy their business model, soon or late. They cannot put Models above everything and don't care about Adult Webmasters at all... They cannot keep the program going if webmasters are going to send less traffic. Models are just a part of it. Webmasters are the traffic. |

I will slowly start sending my traffic somewhere else. There are other programs slowly popping up that are as good or even better than Chaturbate, or have the same amateurish idea without all the traffic leaks and bullshit, and converting as well as they are. I wonder why... when all programs become popular they become Greed, and that destroys the program. It must be some kind of natural thing in humans. Nothing lasts forever. |

As far as Im concerned thats a Girls name, right? Ok, lets stop the bullshit. What's your name? (just your name, not your full name) Who are you? Where are you from? If you operate a sponsor, there is *No Reason* to hide that information. But you seem to hide it from everyone here. Why are you hiding your identity? Nobody knows you, but you operate a cam program? Any cam program I deal with, I know the name of my affiliate manager, or where they are from, otherwise I would not deal with them at all. For some strange and suspicious reason you hide your information. Now you can see that it was easier to just say yes to my question, rather than being a smart-ass with me, right... :1orglaugh |

You deposit $20, maybe i can earn thru the ads maybe around $10.. But if you did it right, this is money making machine.

Although we do not run the site by popular vote we very much appreciate and listen to input, whether good or bad. Based on the input about traffic leaks in this thread, we have decided to NOT display banners on affiliate traffic. Although we don't anticipate there will be a further change on this, if there is a change in this policy, we will give prior notice.

Nobody offers that... that's kinda like a tube splitting the advertising with affiliates who upload videos. It has been suggested, but none will do it (except porn.com). |

First, it is hard to find your post because your avatar is not you, can you please change back? Second, I find making solid business decisions a rare commodity in this industry. The team at chaturbate has made a good one and this thread should be riddled with compliments on doing the right thing. It is a tough market, especially to cut profits, but by not selling traffic on affiliate traffic is def. the right thing to do. So kudos... hope in the end it makes it worth it. |

Great move! Now I will set up new domain whitelabels this week in Chaturbate as a way to thank you for this, and send more and more traffic every month. |

WL is only one of the many ways I promote them... |
3 questions:
1) Why don't you guys respond to affiliate emails? I've emailed 3 times and have yet to hear back from anyone . (I 've sent emails to [email protected] as well as sent messages via your system. It's been well over a month since I sent my original email...) 2) As a fairly new affiliate to charturbate i'm wondering why are there so many ppl on various forums complaining about not getting paid (this comes from a few trusted members on sites like BHW) I've just started to see some small conversions as I have been taking it slow on pushing traffic more until I heard back from someone. 3)Lastly is it true that you are affiliated with the now defunct WEG Cash? (they owe me too and scores others as well as everyone knows...) Not looking to offend anyone just looking for some solid answers. |
