Heard of this tragedy listening the news today.

How does this make me a racist? Martin was black and I believe he was innocent; These two kids are being charged with murdering an older man without reason and without cause.

A seventeen year old kid who goes to the store to skittles is a kid who wants a snack.

Two sixteen year old boys who brutally murder an older man for kicks are in fact punk ass thugs.

You couldn't be further from the truth. Martin was never on trial; Zimmerman was. Zimmerman was found "not guilty" which does not mean Martin was guilty of anything.

I did not "keep on saying that it was doubtful Martin attacked Zimmerman". In fact, I believe he did. I believe that Martin was acting in self defense - a full grown man was stalking him for twenty minutes and Martin, who was no angel, felt the need to protect himself by striking first. No matter what, Martin was walking home from the store - period. The difference is when you say "seventeen year old shot day" I hear "my kid was shot dead because she was walking between houses in the dark".

It's not selective outrage at all. No matter what, Martin was do nothing more than walking home from the store. These two kids killed a man only because they could.

Of course it's news. A man died, and that in itself is news.

Sorry, unless you live in the specific neighborhood where it happened (so you might know the people involved or be affected by increased traffic congestion on your way home due to the investigation) it is not news every time someone dies.

It's a way for the media to kill time when there is no news, or to distract from complicated stories that would actually require journalism expertise to cover.

Relevant facts from first hand knowledge or reliable sources that informs people about events which matter to their own lives in some way beyond voyeuristic curiosity.

This is not news. It's something that shoud be assigned to a reporter who would then investigate and see if it leads to something newsworthy.

At best this is very local news to someone wondering why thy were stuck in traffic near the scene, or someone who knew the decedent.
