So Keith is Keith now and not Kelly? Hard to keep up.

"I address all issues and fix them right away, nothing lingers." Best statement of the day.

New company? Sounds like the same people and same bullshit to me.

Bad business since 2006.

:2 cents::2 cents:

Plus the chargeback went through. Not believing he contacted the card issuer and they told him to do that. Sounds like a bunch of hot air. I also have to question the strength of any company where the owner would flip his shit like that over such a relatively small transaction.

15? I think you're being generous.

Considering the claim that an attorney has been consulted, one would suggest that the attorney better hope his/her college has a refund policy in place -- clearly any attorney who sanctioned such responses is incompetent at best.

Personally, I would consider the threats to contact the neighbors and disseminate private info as extortion.

That's my thinking:disgust

icymelon 09-23-2013 09:26 PM

my guess is half the neighbors have cells and no land line so calling them is going to be tough

Was this ever settled?

Matyko 06-16-2015 07:27 AM

Just kind of an fyi for webmasters who might not realize this. Almost in every state in the U.S. it is against the law for a debt collector or a business attempting to collect a debt for themselves to threaten criminal prosecution. Theft of service is illegal in most states but actually mentioning filing criminal charges is also illegal.

I am speaking from experience of learning the hard way about that one. So while we all do it.... if intentions are to actually file any kind of lawsuit in that case it is best not to do that because you are just about guaranteeing yourself to losing that lawsuit strictly based on doing that, even if the other person was 150% wrong and at fault.

No. Very old could be 2003.

This is absolutely not old thread - you are 'too new'.. :pimp

This is a useful thread, it is easy to determine who is OK to work with and who should you avoid. There are at least TWO gfy members in this thread who I would never do business with :2 cents: :2 cents: :2 cents: :2 cents: :2 cents: :pimp

Indeed, to often history repeats itself because people forget what happened in the past!

It is a great idea to revisit threads like this not only out of curiosity of the ultimate outcome BUT to learn from past experiences so that the events do not repeat themselves. :thumbsup
