It turns out that the Confederate flag protestor, Michael Ashmore, claims to be a discharged disabled vet suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) as a result of a tour in Afghanistan, and that he drove 24 hours from Texas, to participate in the protest because he was angry that he had not received his disability check.

it was called several things, Rebel flag was one of them, also refered to as The Confederate Flag, the Dixie Flag, the Southern Cross and the Stars and Bars.

The flag is part of our history and should not be pushed away in some dark corner because people want to forget it. It means different things to different people. If you don't like it, don't fly it.

And a LOT of that money is spent on our military all over the world.
