Just as we cut off payment processing as a source of revenue for sites within the file locker eco system, we also cut off advertising revenue.
Responsible ad networks have no issue with terminating piracy sites, responsible ad networks also don't specifically seek out publishers on known piracy webmaster hangouts like WJunction. Plugrush has a piracy problem, however seems unable to transparently deal with it. There is no plausible explanation for Plugrush to want to continue to run ads on reported infringing sites unless there is some financial benefit to Plugrush for doing so. |

Not that I care much anymore cause im not really in the adult biz anymore just I have never liked your attitude much, maybe you should take a side seat and let somebody else do the talking and just maybe you might get the cash support you are allways looking for :) Have a g'day as they say in Aussi land :) |

We have private dialogue with many companies who do the right thing, the only reason this came to the board was PlugRush deciding that they would not do the right thing. Plugrush have a piracy problem and seem unwilling to address it. They won't distance themselves from pirate sites by running ads on them. |
Google adsense removes all ads to display immediately when either site is banned or account closed.
Only in adult. |
Oh nooo! AK is getting worked up.

So the real question still stands: Who made you king and who is backing you? You act like you represent the whole industry, yet I have yet to see a single license holder or company come forward to say that they handed over the keys to you by signing your company to represent their rights. Btw in case you forgot, this was your mission statement: Quote:
You actually got what you wanted: Remove the income stream from infringing websites. So right now it sure seems like you have gone wildly astray from your original mission and it makes me wonder who is really behind all this and what the real agenda is. It can't be stopping file lockers or piracy anymore, that's pretty clear to most people that read all this. |
^^@markul:
Google adsense terminates the display of banned accounts. Tge only reason to keep an ad live after termination is to make money. This is the only industry that keeps ads up after being banned. Honestly, i have read your replies. I have read bf replies. I have read damian replies. Guess what, bf is hosting for criminals and making money. You are likely doing same. Is it really that hard to just stop showing ads on a banned account? |
It is easy to understand PR's point of view here. Piracy related clicks are probably a huge portion of the clicks they provide to advertisers. If they disabled ads from all of these sites the network loses the ability to deliver viewers in large quantities. Problem is the traffic from these publishers is probably shit anyway. I would bet the quality of PR traffic would immediately convert better without the piracy websites. I would imagine with cleaner traffic the price per click would rise making more money for their publishers and themselves.
The people on AK's ass I assume are afraid of his effectiveness. I admit, I am no fan of AK... sometimes he comes off as a tool. But, what he is doing is going make the adult business better and stronger in the long run. To get things done you must be a dick at times. To stop piracy you must take away the financial incentive. The ad networks are a natural progression in his work. I dont think PR is a bad company for trying to keep the business model alive. But they know what is happening on their network is wrong. They will have to change because they are wrong to do business with piracy sites. In the long run it will help their business, even tho there will be pain in the beginning. But producers and paysite owners have been hurting a very long time. It is time for everyone to man up and get rid of these criminal sites. Turning a blind eye to put a little change in the pocket has gotten this industry to this point. |

I don't know who 'bf' is or what he does, but I can assure you that we are not in the business of hosting for criminals. You better back up your accusations with some sort of proof. |

Nobody is advocating shutting down ad networks Markul.
All we are asking that Plugrush disincentives the use of their network by pirates. They can do this easily by disabling ads on pirate sites which will stop other pirates thinking Plugrush is a pirate friendly network. The only logical reason Plugrush would want to keep those ads running is that it wants to keep benefiting from the clicks from piracy sites. This is bad for the whole industry as right now there are a multitude of sites popping up with stolen content and PlugRush advertising. So far we have found hacked password sites, direct download sites, release logs, file locker download blogs and other file locker eco system sites monetizing using Plugrush. What the critics are basically saying is that this is ok, just wear it. The critics are saying PlugRush should allow piracy on it's network rather than stop it dead in it's tracks. Some pirate sites may never remove the ad zones, which means that all this piracy related traffic is entering the network. Piracy traffic includes the people who use stolen credit cards to buy site memberships and then rip them. None of that is good for anyone. |

For those that don't think this is a problem, consider these examples
1. PlugRush used on a Porn Passwords & Backdoor Access site. http://stopfilelockers.com/wp-conten...xxplugrush.jpg 2. PlugRush used on a Porn Release site which links to file lockers http://stopfilelockers.com/wp-conten...teplugrush.jpg 3. PlugRush being used on a site which uses stolen credit card numbers to create accounts on porn sites, then publishes them via the site and various ad monetization methods. If you want to pay them via Paypal you can get a list of VIP passwords - again all obtained using stolen credit card numbers to create accounts which are then on-sold. http://stopfilelockers.com/wp-conten...-Paradise1.jpg PlugRush has a piracy problem of it's own making. PlugRush went to forums like WJunction, a hangout of pirate webmasters, seeking publishers and as a result has a piracy problem. For those critics who think this is ok, it's not ok. This behaviour supports the file locker eco system that is ripping the content industry off with terabytes of fresh content being shared every day, mostly through sites like these displayed above. Other sites displaying PlugRush ads cater to people who will use stolen credit cards to obtain access to legitimate porn sites, through password trading and resale. This is NOT ok. |
AdultKing: We've been discussing things internally here, and we want to come up with a solution we can all be satisfied with. We got some alternative ideas everyone can be hapy with.
Can we discuss a couple of things with you on skype/icq? We'll make a statement here afterwards.. |

Perfect timing Plugrush. Ready to make an announcement just as I get finished removing all of my ad zones. :(
|
The problem I see here is even if plugrush cooperates completely, everyone will swtich to exoclick and if you get exoclick to cooperate which I doubt.(They advertise for piratebay)
Then their is always another alternative network. You're just opening competition. Now that plugrush doesn't accept piracy, someone on wjunction can go ahead and open up their own adult ad network. This is a battle that cannot be won. You shut one website down another will pop up. Even if you managed to shut down every file locker, people will just begin pirating and seeding your porn. There is no way around it. People will create invite only forums, host the websites off shore, find new ways to monetize. |

Nice attitude, someone else will just take the place, so why bother?
Trust me, AK and his crew will go after and shutdown any rogue networks. As for small startups, it's much easier to extinguish small flames than raging bonfires. Quote:

I commend PR for at least talking. |
After some internal discussions and some talks with AdultKing we've come up with a solution.
But first let me point out that PlugRush has never supported pirate sites or ignored reports about pirate sites. We have banned tons of accounts with sites that distribute pirated content. We do take piracy seriously and do not support that way of generating revenue from porn. We ourselves have ran an adult network of affiliate sites for almost ten years and have always done things the right way by using promo content and sending traffic to paysites to generate sales. We've always taken reports seriously and banned sites that gets reported. When AdultKing started making this thread here, we thought it was without him even trying to contact us or report anything to us. Personally it kinda pissed me off. We're not hard to reach, and we don't mind banning pirates. So we feel it would have been easy to get in touch with us if it was really that big of a concern for you. Pirate spreading sites is a very small percentage of the sites in plugrush. We have almost 80 thousand registered sites. We wouldn't mind banning all of them. Most of the ones we've found or have gotten reported, are sites with close to no traffic. Very few of them have any substansial amount, so it has never been a priority for us to activly filter them out. After reading about us supposedly ignoring reports, we started looking into it closer. We searched our email and only found 1 email from may 26th from AdultKing. After talking to him today the only thing we can conclude with is that they must have gone to spam. We did not have a filter to make sure emails didn't go to spam. All the report emails contains a lot of links, so google might have threated them as spam, understandably. We've created a filter to prevent this from happening from now on. But our way of dealing with pirates and how we disable their account but not the adzones has apparently not been good enough according to AdultKing and other parties, and some have claimed this is not really what we're doing and that we are still selling those clicks. To really show how we stand in this situation we have decided to do some changes. We do not want people to think we are a pirate friendly network, and since there seems to be people who think we are, we have made plans to more actively show where we stand. Together with AdultKing we've worked out a solution I think everyone will be happy with. There seem to be a strong opinion amongst people that it will help to try to educate users about why they shouldn't download porn for free from file lockers. While we don't think it will do much good, we are willing to give it a try, since there seem to be a strong opinion amongs people that it will some how have an effect. So what we will do is launch a campaign against stealing porn. We're launching the site DontStealPorn.com, and on all disabled widgets on sites we get reports about piracy and links only leading to file lockers, we will display a message saying "Warning! {$domain} contains pirated content. Don't Steal Porn!" with a link to the campaign site. Example: http://www.camelmedia.net/snagit/55060000110237.png Links on Plugs in those widget will not contain our tracking codes, they will link directly to the advertisers sites. This way it will be impossible for us to still sell the clicks, and pirates will not benefit from it. Some might see this as someone still benefiting from piracy, since the advertisers will still receive traffic, but some of those advertisers will be content producers that have paysites and advertise on our network, the very people who's business AdultKing is trying to fight for, and we believe that it's important to let the users have the possibility to click themselves away from sites with pirated content. So this should be a good thing for both the users and content producers. Users will also have the option to get educated if they read the message and click through to the campaign site. Hopefully everyone can agree that this is a satisfying solution to all parties involved, and we can live in peace and without the drama. We all want the same thing, and are all on the same site. We just have different opinions on what will work, and how to solve things. |
And I'd like to thank PlugRush for coming to the table and working out a compromise which not only makes it clear PlugRush is a network that does not tolerate piracy but also a network which seeks to educate end users about the piracy issue.
For a while it seems that we were at crossed purposes, however after a lengthy discussion last night we were able to come to this agreement as described by Nextri. During the next few days we will be preparing text for the DontStealPorn website, we will also be helping PlugRush determine the appropriate links to put on the site for people who need to report underage or illegal content to the proper places. Obviously there may be some teething issues as this is implemented so I am sure PlugRush would welcome any feedback as would Copy Control from our end. Over the next three months we will measure how this range of measures impacts the adoption of PlugRush by pirates and then review the situation together with PlugRush. I think everyone involved can call this a win/win for common sense and an instant loss for the pirate sites which will lose ad revenue as a result of these measures. |

Not only that bitch, you claimed sfl was dead cuz you ran out of money. Didn't you say sfl could stand without donations for a year? POP a couple of small donations n you're back in business or did Fabian toss you more cash? If that crooked fuck (almost as good a con-man as you) didn't toss you cash, why the fuck are you targeting lockers posting Manwin property? Do what ever the fuck you want. Have these pussy ass companies suck the last drop of sweat off your lice infested ball sack. What pisses me off is your money grabbing lying backstabbing past. |
