those are some nice shots man. it's hard to get good shots in that museum right? it's so jammed packed with bikes it's hard to get a decent composition, you really have to work at it.

nevertheless, a true gem of socal is that musuem, solvang even! great town although i'd slowly commit suicide via candy and chocolate if i lived there.

It's been so cold up here that my deer trough has been freezing over at night...

Not sure he has been here long enough to know how cold the Valley gets.

Sherman Way in Van Nuys is lined with those really tall palm trees.
You live way out in the high desert, I know it gets cold there



I grew up in Camarillo with most of my family living in the Valley at the time. I lived up in Redding California for 20 years before moving back, the Valley has nothing on the cold that Redding can get or anywhere the heat that Redding can get. During the winter, it freezes in Redding with snow. During the summer, 120+ in the shade. stephen will back that up. I know cold, the Valley is warm. I only wear a jacket when riding the bike near the Ocean at night.

I've been riding dirt bikes for my whole life, but was smart enough to know that a 800+ lb bike would be different, so I took a safety class. It was only 2 days but totally worth it.

I might take the high speed class this summer, but I ride with guys that have been riding for decades and they can't believe I've only been doing this for the little amount of time I have. I just pay attention!!

Total target fixation as well.
