I am betting on GSP on this one. 3rd round TKO!

SlammedMedia 11-16-2013 07:57 AM

Being Canadian, I want to see St. Pierre win, but I think this will be by far his hardest challenge. Hendricks is the superior wrestler, so there's not much of a chance St. Pierre will submit him and I don't see Hendricks letting St. Pierre pick him apart with jabs -- and St. Pierre doesn't knock anyone out. Plus, Henricks will probably enter the Octagon 10 pounds heavier than St. Pierre. So overall I don't see many spots for St. Pierre to pickup points.

He's never had a TKO against anyone as good as Hendricks, and his last was almost 5 years ago, against an out of shape Penn.

If anyone wants to get into a niche betting site like mma ufc there really are not as many out there. Most sportsbooks offer odds on fights.

From his powerful left hand, to his ground game, St. Pierre has yet to be tested the way he will be Saturday night. However, defensively I'd give the edge to St. Pierre, but as overwhelmed as I see him potentially being, I don't think it'll matter.

As far as heart goes it's pretty even, you don't see many fights with the amount of heart that will be on full display when these two step in the ring Saturday night.

Who are you picking?

I think if GSP survives the 1st three rounds, he'll finish Hendricks. I give Hendricks about a 40% chance to KO GSP in those first three rounds -- I think he has a weak gas tank and will get murdered in the championship rounds if it goes further. GSP has cardio for days.

Aldo and Barao are both more dangerous P4P than Hendricks.

BaliPimp 11-16-2013 01:17 PM

You may be right buff. Let's wait til after the fight and have this conversation. I think GSP runs the whole fight.

5Dimes is far and away the best online sportsbook, especially for MMA and boxing. I've been using them well over 10 years and never had a problem getting a payout. Just make sure when you sign up you ask for lifetime reduced juice instead of a signup bonus and you will save yourself a lot of money in the long run...

How does the lifetime reduced juice work? By the way how do you deposit? I'd rather avoid going through Visa debit card associated with my Bank of America account. Someone else mentioned that Western Union is an option.

Ask St. Pierre's, his lifetime is probably going to be reduced from his juice work.

I personally use Moneygram to deposit, the fees are a lot less, you can go to any Wal-Mart to deposit, and any deposit over $250 5Dimes will cover the Moneygram fees (they will deposit the fee amount in your account).

As far as the lifetime reduced juice it works like this...let's take MMA for instance. 5Dimes offers a 20 cent line on MMA, so for the Tyron Woodley/Josh Koscheck fight the line looks like this...
Sat 11/16 1301 Tyron Woodley -125
10:30PM 1302 Josh Koscheck +105

So you'd have to bet $125 to win $100 on Woodley, and a $100 bet on Koscheck would win you $105, as Koscheck is the underdog. That is a 20 cent line.

If you have the lifetime reduced juice they offer many fights on a reduced 10 cent line, so the line looks like this...
Sat 11/16 1301 Tyron Woodley -120
10:30PM 1302 Josh Koscheck +110

You would bet $120 to win $100 on Woodley, and a $100 bet on Koscheck would win you $110. That is a 10 cent line. See how that would save you a TON of money in juice if you were a long term bettor?

The reduced juice sounds a lot better if you are going to be betting consistently in the long term. The sports book covering the Moneygram fees sounds good too. Does 5Dimes.eu itself charge you anything to accept the deposit? If not, that sounds perfect as it means essentially no fees at all to make a deposit over $250. Do you get payouts through Moneygram too and do they charge you for that?

If you were posting because you had a change of heart, just post before the fight that you want the bet, same terms, and I will honor it.

5Dimes doesn't charge you anything to accept the deposit. So If you deposit $300 I believe the Moneygram fee is around $9, and 5Dimes will credit that $9 to your account (so you will have $309). You can either get your payout through Moneygram or check if it's a larger amount, and they offer 1 free payout a month.

You have to call in to get a Moneygram deposit name, and they usually have you send it to either Nicaragua or Panama. Then you call in with your control number and they usually credit it to your account within 20 minutes.

Sounds great, I'm too late for tonight, but I'm going to set up an account on Monday assuming all of this applies to a U.S. citizen. Weird though, 5Dimes.eu doesn't list Moneygram as one of the deposit methods on their site.

Ignored? I rarely ICQ. I gave you countless opportunities in this thread.

But you would have lost $1,000.

This was so fucking rigged. Such horseshit. Hendricks won 4-1, if not 5-0.

BaliPimp 11-16-2013 10:38 PM

Well, he had the opportunity to take gsp out in the 2nd. To beat the champ you have to beat him... home cooking

Ridiculous decision :2 cents:

Almost as ridiculous as Jon Jones Vs Gustafsson

Jon Jones had to be carried out of the Octagon after that fight!

No. Jones won it 3-2. That's that. He did win 3 rounds.

Well at least we can agree that Johny Hendricks won at least 3 of those 5 rounds

He had to knock him out to get the win. They are fighting in canadia, the champs home town. It looked like Hendicks thought he had won and coasted too much. Tough for him but he learned a lesson.... keep tagging that ass.

Smart. I bet GSP right down the line with everyone who'd take it. There's already been bitching, but I'm richer for it.

Unfortunately this is so true. I thought Hendrick would stop him in the 2nd round and it appeared he had him. Does anyone know why the ref separated them in the 2nd round? It appeared that gsp was in big trouble but he sent Hendrick to the corner for about 10 seconds... enough for gsp to clear the cobwebs.

If you told me before the fight it goes 5 I would have taken gsp.... in my opinion, the lack of effort by the challenger was the difference. Even tho he kicked the champs ass, he jiust let off when he should have poured it on.
