Check fraud, kidnapping, extortion
First I have to say that I have had the pleasure of working with many wonderful models who were great human beings.
Now for some of the others, not so much Check fraud $1800 check written off my checkbook made out to one of my model's friends. Fortunately the signature was so off that I received full credit back. Had to close the account though which was a major pain in the ass. Credit fraud two separate credit cards stolen and used Cash, bras, panties, tattoo cover-up, dresses, alcohol, sun glasses, and I once caught a model once stuffing the duvet cover from the Palms hotel in her suitcase. I had to explain to her that unlike towels, hotels would notice something like that missing and charge me for it. 3 cell phones + a few chargers NOW HERE IS WHERE IT GETS WIERD, REALLY WIERD Kidnapping A model's friend called me needing $200 to free my model from some drug gang. I wound up sending her $70 just so she would stop calling me. Extortion A would be model called and asked for $200 because a guy she was staying with took the mini-fridge out of her motel room and the motel manager was holding her there till she either paid him $200 for fridge, he was then going to call the police at the end of the day. She actually put the manager on the phone with me, he sounded legit so I sent her $100. More Extortion More than once a model has threatened to scream through my neighborhood about what's going on at my place or even call the police and turn me in (for what?) if I didn't pay her more. Of course I am always more than fair with my models and explain upfront what they are getting but that doesn't seem to matter with some of these girls. The really amusing part is that these same girls will call the following week asking when can they shoot again! Gas Money A few models would call me begging for gas money so they could come shoot, I have huge stack of western union receipts no joke! Of course they never seem to make it to the shoot. All in all I chalk it up to the cost of doing business, it basically goes with the territory doesn't it? as someone mentioned earlier in this thread, for the most part these models act under a sense of entitlement because they got naked. |
I dont steal from them
I accidently leave my shit at their place |
Why are you letting your models hang around long enough to steal that much stuff?..

I've only had one model steal from me and that was Sabrina Maree.
She scammed me out of $1500 :Oh crap |

they are on location for 6-8 (or more) hours and you can't look over their shoulders all the time - impossible |

Actually a lot of guys shoot out of their own places especially since POV became what it is today. Often they'll have a designated room setup for shoots with its own bathroom for girls .. its so easy for them to walk in and just steal whatever they want |
The guys who own HTM have been dumb enough to lend several models money. 98% of time they never see the money again, and the girl never works with them again either. One of them got laid for it, though.

I've been shooting longer than most but I can't remember ever getting anything stolen on set. I'm pretty vigilant though and I don't leave stuff laying around in the open. I've lost a few hundred bucks on plane tickets where the model never showed up, but nothing missing from my house or another set.

One of ours stole in iPad and for the life of me I have no idea when he was along and had time to get it! There were 2 of us there and I thought we watched him the entire time!
iPod bottle of cologne in bathroom CDs loose change wallet cell phones Now keep in mind this is a list of shooting over 15 years! Gotta watch those shady models who are willing to get naked in front of a camera for cash! |

One dumb whore (or should I say smart whore) stole her model release. I could not prove it so offered her $100 to come back and fill out a new one. Otherwise my content would have been worthless and a couple thousand doown the drain. Her name? JOEY MORRISON

These girls were all on heroin or crystal meth. It wasn't like I placed an ad for drugged up models. I had a few IE (Inland Empire) models who recruited a bunch of their friends to me, who in turn recruited some of their friends, this went on for a few years till I realized enough was enough and severed my ties to the whole county! The good news is that it gave me the impetus to start a whole new recruiting campaign which has been extremely successful :) Actually finally shooting the long awaited Bachelorette Party 3 with 5 of my new models who I am fairly sure won't be stealing anything. What I do though with my new models is give them the same horror stories I mentioned in this thread so they are aware I am mindful when things go missing. When my old IE models call me up I just offer them $500 if they can complete a drug program but so far no model has taken me up on it. For some reason getting clean is the least of their priorities. |

I never had a model steal from me during a shoot.
One time I paid half of modeling fee in advance and I never heard of that model again. Some of her friends avoided me for years and would not want to work for me anymore because they were afraid of me asking them where to find her. I found that out 15 years later when I saw one of them on Facebook. One bad puppy ruined it all for their sisters. Another time a model took the freebies in my hotel's bathroom like soap, shampoo and tooth paste. I freaked out and told her to put it back. She did, but could not understand why I wouldn't allow her taking the stuff. |

Sanity
Virginity and some fruit loops |
We had a model who was stealing minor things off of desks etc. When we confronted her she denied it. So we showed her video of security footage of her stealing framed pictures off the wall (really!). As she gathered her things and was about to leave, she stopped at the kitchen and put a bottle of wine in her bag. When she passed one of the desks she grabbed a stapler, both right in front of us. When we asked her to put the wine and stapler back she said "what wine and stapler"? What a nut.

My virginity
Sort of extortion $1 500 because i was kind of dumb ass ... cheese , yep they like the Blue Cheese , 1 UK model took it 2 times on different occasions. |
I was just thinking about this a bit more.... One of my first stripper/model girlfriends stole something from me.. I think it was "my" innocence or naivety.. She modeled for Eric Kroll.. Who produced the book "Fetish Girls" She was the first girl who ever said to me "put it in my ass" I was 17, she was 24.. That was a wild ass year...
Wow.. that was like a therapy session... |

Do you guys shoot them at home? Do you leave them unattended? (why?) |
This doesn't just happen in the adult industry. One of my illustrious jobs in the 90's before I headed into adult was working for a business manager whose clients were all models, models whose names or faces nearly anyone would recognize. Sometimes in their contracts, they would be entitled to keep something from the wardrobe for the shoot. One time a model who wasn't contractually entitled to keep anything from the shoot, took a $50K dress and then when the theft was discovered, didn't want to return the dress, but under pressure finally did.
The thievery of these well paid models was a running joke. That they took props as "mementos", stripped hotel rooms of anything that could be shoved into their luggage... One model lifted a large number of private car vouchers with a client's account number on them (to use instead of taking taxis in NYC). And used them until that was discovered. Another was using a client's lifted Fed Ex account number till that was discovered. No one was going to stop booking them because of their thievery. The general consensus was that the models just felt they were entitled. |
One of the best threads this year, but so few names are mentioned... :( :pimp

I took a model in as she had no where else to live, and she ended up stealing a bunch of my clothes...
|
towels, viagra, red-bulls, a camera once , food for their starving poor boyfriends, condoms
|
Cindy Crawford (on the downslope of her sanity, looks, and career) showed up for a girl/girl scene with her looser druggie boyfriend. The other model took me aside and said she could not work with her because Cindy/s pussy was so smelly. From the looks and demeanor of Cindy and her BF it was obvious they were meth heads or something similar so I imagine the smell was just rotting flesh.
I cancelled the scene and told everyone to leave. Cindy and her BF went out to their car and sat there for half an hour and then knocked on the door and said they needed $100 for gas and food so they could get back to Vegas. I gave it to them just so those two crackhead looking fucks would get off my street. I was hard to believe she was the same girl I had hung out with just two years earlier. totally different look and personality within 24 months. Drugs are bad bad bad. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...9_adjusted.jpg |

http://pantytv.com/gfy/tnvgirls_allisonmegan20.jpg http://pantytv.com/gfy/tnvgirls_allison_preview.jpg Just a few quick shots from two (clean) models I shot last week. They managed to complete the shoot without stealing anything! Now the same night my heroin girl model came by to shoot but after arriving 3 hours late, spent two hours locked in the bathroom on her phone, then left without shooting but not before pilfering a green dress from my wardrobe! Why did I let her come by at all? hard to say no to a crying model.. |

Theft, no, not so much really. Back in my content shooting days the place I was using was rather close-quarters, and since my shoots were pretty short (2-4 hours each usually) I saw no need to put out a bunch of 'stealables'. I had a few things such as tampons and such hidden away if anyone needed them, they'd get ONE.
However this one model did happen by my place one day way back when, looking for 'work'. I invite her in, hadn't seen her in some time, in she comes, things all friendly but I could tell that as she was making nice with me she was kind of scoping out the place. Her eyes held on my new computer settup, the flatscreen, the stereo, etc etc. I was aware she liked to occasionally smoke crack but had no idea her habit had gotten this bad... So she's chatting me up, even flirting some. Then she says -- mid-sentence -- that she has to make a quick call. Out comes her cell and she starts talking to someone. Something just didn't feel right. I happened to glance out the back window and sure enough there's a guy in a white pickup truck, presumably her BF-du-jeur, pulling a baseball bat out from behind the seat. Ha Their plan became clear. She gets me in the sack --- he comes in and knocks me senseless, then they pillage at will. Nice. In as nice a voice as I could I told her that her plan was about to backfire and that her and the idiot out back with the bat really need to get back in their vehicle and leave. She looked me in the eyes for a second, presumably weighing how serious I was, then calmly allowed me to walk her out. Outside I tried to counsel her a little on getting herself some help and told her I'd be there for her on that basis, but barring that I told her that's it, don't come around, there's no more work for her either. Baseball bat boy saw me and I guess thought better of it and kept his ass in the truck, and then off they went. Probably to find some other mark. I shot for roughly 5 years and that's as close as it came to theft for me. As far as I know anyway. Never noticed so much as a pen missing. Certainly had my share of other headaches with them though. |

I had some bad experiences early on (a rental car that was not returned for over a month was among the worst) which led me to become much more cautious with my equipment, and who I let be around my equipment, so the amount of theft that I experience is minimal these days (the rental car experience also led me to quit shooting solo sites and serendipitously focus on my current multi-model site for the past decade). I never shoot in my own home, and I generally work with a crew, so there are many sets of eyes watching out besides mine. Additionally, I don't allow alcohol or drugs on my sets (although I was known to get hammered once or twice on all-day shoots during my drinking days, hehe), and I would turn away any model/performer obviously impaired (only had to do so twice out of hundreds of shoots). I've only worked with a few models that I even suspected of doing serious drugs on their own time...perhaps it is the niche I am in, since I can say in all honesty that most of the girls I work with are pretty straight and nice decent people. Some have even become close personal friends, even if we rarely work together anymore (models careers are often short, although I know some girls that are still going strong making modeling/performing a career for 10+ years and counting). http://cdn.themetapicture.com/media/...es-mirrors.jpg In a former studio, my partner was shooting a car with several models when one of his cameras came up missing. I came out because he was hollering at the models and interrogating them. I told him to calm down, and for everyone to look around, and then I led him back to the offices for us to "search" there. Miraculously, the camera turned up just minutes later, and the girls told us that the silly photographer must have left it in the back seat, because that is where they found it. Of course, we were back in the office watching studio surveillance camera video of one of the girls pulling the camera out of her big purse and putting it on the back seat of the car...soooo busted! :1orglaugh I routinely warn girls to be careful with their wallets, valuables, and especially jewelry and clothing around other models, since they are notorious for taking other girls' stuff. Photographers I've worked with (at least 20+) have almost all been incredibly trustworthy, returning stuff I didn't even know I left behind on a shoot. I also have the best PA's ever (some with me for several years). :stoned ADG |

It's too bad we can't nominate threads for Best of GFY (like you can w/ Reddit, Craigslist, etc.) This one would be a nominee IMO.

Shot more than 500 models and never lost much - however the photographer that jacked me (let his buddy in my studio with my keys) got some serious street justice and will get more.
