Paul Walker and Ryan Dunn both died the same way. Lesson learn don't drive fast in a Porsche you will lose control.

LOL he wasnt even driving dude. It was his race driver buddy who was driving his own porsche. Seems they were speeding and driving nuts for fun and lost control.

Was thinking the same, 100+mph easily. Netbilling said he has a video so he could say what happened

It makes a bigger impact on society for the "good ones" to die, then the pieces of shit.

TurboAngel 12-02-2013 08:30 AM

That's so sad and goes to show us you never know when something like that can happy to you or someone you love.

She didn't see the crash happen. We were all there at the fundraiser and the crash happened around the corner when they went off for a drive.
Roger (the guy that was driving the car) has 2 kids as well and was my neighbor. We all rushed over when we heard the crash and saw the smoke behind the building. It was too late to help.

Mitch

It kinda' just blows my mind that the driver was actually a skilled, experienced race car driver...and a freak thing like this happens. Just goes to show how quickly something can happen even to the best of us.

So tragic. I feel sad for both families. :(

Axel_Crak 12-02-2013 05:03 PM

lets hope at least it will calm down some kids and help them to understand the danger of speed

I think for a certain period of time it willééé

Previous owner of car in Paul Walker crash was IndyCar driver Graham Rahal

Quote:

"I get bored with cars pretty quickly," he said in a story published earlier this year. "The Carrera GT is just harder to drive, and I drive my cars a lot. Nothing that I have will not be used. Every car that I have will be driven a lot. I have two cars that are old that don't get used that often, but that is rare."

Rahal compared the Carrera GT to a 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO. Some of his observations and his descriptions of how difficult the Carrera was to drive are chilling in light of the crash.

from another article I read on this car surprised me that this car only had 3,200+ miles on it and he was the 6th owner..

i learned earlier this year that being an experienced, professional driver doesnt guarantee that laws of physics make exceptions

It wasn't a track, so no matter the skill level, impossible to know the road like you would a track. Still very very sad story.

On a side note, Walker's girlfriend was only 23 and they had dated for 7 years!

I think point was that skilled and experienced drivers know how to avoid situations where you lose control and only depend on laws of physics.

skilled and experienced drivers wreck like this all the time but the difference is they do it on the track and they don't hit trees they hit walls that absorb a lot of the impact. This same wreck on a track they both would've lived and would be wearing fire proof suits with fire trucks in the area.

None of us know what happened to that car. It could've been something broke or who knows..

It was a sad accident. :(

Sounds like we lost one of the good guys, he died like he lived.

Hunter Thompson said it best.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

RIP.

True, but being a skilled, professional driver generally improves the odds where the law of physics plays a factor.
