What bullshit is that? Our anti gay stance where we throw gay men and women in prison?

I like to see them burn for going 30 mph when they get to any kind of a grade and clog up traffic. Nothing more. But as usual you will add your own story to it.
LOL, I love how you stick up for an engine made of magnesium and thinks that's good in a van that catches fire, just proves how little you know.

Just an advice. If you want to visit Moscow, make sure to do it on a late spring or on summer. Autumn and almost a whole winter here are ugly (most time it's about 0 Celsius, rain and slush).

I've looked into the best times to go and found March to be agreeable given the cold and the wet season and the crowds. Lower sized crowds, I will take a little cold!! Thanx for the advice!!!!!

What's the point of having absolute power if you can't abuse it from time to time.

You know, I tried to respond to you point by point and it sounded like I was slamming Canadians at every step. I never met a Canadian I didn't like, so I'm just gonna take the high road.

I'll just say that it amuses me that people from other countries pay so much attention to our politics.

LoL I never said the engines are good. I said the vans are awesome because there is nothing built today that can match their diverse usability. As far as the motors, they were under powered from the factory, but they still get you where you want to go.. There are loads of engine conversions that can be done if you want more power. However the very fact that so many of these vans are still on the road today, shows how good they were.

It's amazing what the media passes on to us as "news" these days. :(

I've been watching AlJazeera America lately and I'm seeing things going on in the world that are REALLY bad, and not even a whisper of it on CNN or Fox News or MSNBC or CBS or NBC or ABC. :(

Watching this morning about what's going on in Central Africa Republic. Horrible.

And immigrants being treated like they are in concentration camps in Italy.

And oh yeah...anybody remember that war in Syria that Obama and the press made THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD a few months back?

It's still happening. And the Syrian govt. has been dropping "Barrel Bombs" (barrels FULL of exposives) on a town there for 4 straight days.

And that's just a tiny part of what's going on in the world.

But watching our "National News" channels? You wouldn't know shit.
CNN, MSNBC, FNC, ABC, CBS, and NBC are like some local news channel with "folksie" stories and nonsense that used to only be found on the National Enquirer at the grocery store checkout. :(

Obama tweaking Putin by naming Billy Jean King to the Olympics....fucking stupid. And part of the reason our country is so goddamned ignorant.

The problem is, ABC, CNN, Fox ect..ect are not really "World News". Yes they have affiliates around the world but they are not really interested at what goes on out side of the US if it doesn't directly affect the lives of those in the US.

If you want to get a better scope of actual world news, watch your local PBS when they do their News Hours.. They do a range of different news programs from around the world. They have a hour of Asian News, a Jewish News hour, a hour from RT, one from AlJazeera and a few others.

Regardless of what anyone says, they all have their own agenda's just like US news and it's all fairly easy to spot once you watch them for a while. You really aren't going to find a unbiased media. You just have to take bits and pieces and put them together into a overall picture.

VW if I remember right is the biggest car company in the world. So yeah, there are a lot of them.
They just sucked on speed and they are a bomb if they catch fire. We use to take the engine blocks and throw them into camp fires at the beach to get them to burn. Had the fire trucks show up more than once.

The new sources we have are for a US audience, so they will broadcast what people want to know about, that's marketing.

You definitely should try it!" I don't know about you, but if that was my son, I would beat shit out that dude who would even try to tell him something like that. I sincerely believe that $156 is a very easy punishment :2 cents:

a law specifically targeting gay people isn't anti-gay?

what.. what is it?

So far I haven't seen the bias on the AlJazeera America news.

They simply report the news from what I have watched (I watch it every night for a couple of hours while I'm in bed trying to fall asleep)

They had no "agenda" in their reporting of what is happening in the capital city of Central African Republic that I could see. Just simply reporting that all the muslims are on one side of the city, all the christians are on the other side. The city itself is empty (it's a no-man's land now) and the two sides are slaughtering each other in the name of "god".

You should simply watch it. You'll be surprised. I know I was.

Sorry? Where exactly its targeting gays? It's targeting everyone including heterosexuals of course. I did show an example on when and to whom it can be applied. I mean that adult dude who promotes a homosexual act to a child is not have to be a gay to get a fine for up to $156.

So once again, where did you find any mention of gays in the article 6.21 of Administrative Code? There is written that any adult will be fined for promoting homosexuality to minors and nobody cares if he is a gay or not. It's about children but not about gays. Period.

just a punk 12-19-2013 01:01 AM

BTW, there are more "interesting" laws in other countries. For example, orals sex is considered as a sodomy and is illegal in Florida, USA. Why nobody on this planet doesn't wine about it? Nobody cares about adults that are not allowed to do oral sex in Florida, but everybody (including Obama) are so concerned what in Russia it's not allowed to promote homosexuality to under-aged kids. WTF is wrong with this world?

sambucas 12-19-2013 01:34 AM

All I can say to this thread is that the level of misunderstanding and misinterpretation of things happening in Russia by English language mainstream media is staggering....
