This is what I think is sad. If as many people got in a uproar about the NSA as are so worried about this Duck show, then we might get our right to privacy back.

Exactly how I feel, they are being bullies.

It's kinda like think like we do about this or we will attack you!

Your statement offends me. I'm talking to Eric about this.

Everyone have a great Christmas, I'm off for the day, the weather is nice, riding the Harley over to have a business lunch, ( might take a while) then off to do some shopping.

They spoke out as hate towards Bush
"we don't want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas"
That's hate as I read it
The public made a choice on them

Yes the AFA is trying to rally support behind Mr Duck.. They are calling those whom a pose his views bigots and haters.. Meanwhile they have boycotts ongoing against store like Home depot whom support gay rights.

Besides, he didn't put out hate, what he did was state what was in the bible, they take it seriously, it's in Leviticus

So like Palin, you didnt read what he said. lol

Public had the right to crush their CD's , mixing them with the French wine and cheese ... ( damn, that was such a funny delirium ... ).

But if you call their comments and opinions ( which by the way we know were right ) hate , what do you call your own speech on Obama here ?

Not sure you will see the parallel , as you seem in a tunnelvision, but here goes :

Fired PR executive apologizes for AIDS in Africa tweet

(Reuters) - A public relations executive who ignited an online furor after posting a message on Twitter joking about AIDS in Africa, apologized on Sunday, saying she was ashamed of her comment.

Justine Sacco, who was subsequently fired from the prominent New York-based Internet media company IAC/InterActive Corp after the tweet created a firestorm on social media, issued a statement of remorse on Sunday to ABC News and South Africa's The Star newspaper.

"Words cannot express how sorry I am, and how necessary it is for me to apologize to the people of South Africa, who I have offended due to a needless and careless tweet," she said.

"For being insensitive to this crisis - which does not discriminate by race, gender or sexual orientation, but which terrifies us all uniformly - and to the millions of people living with the virus, I am ashamed," the statement said.

Just before boarding a plane for South Africa on Friday, Sacco posted a tweet to her online account, saying: "Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just kidding. I'm white!"

Sacco's tweet quickly circulated outside her relatively small circle of about 500 followers, with thousands of users denouncing the comment as racist and insensitive. Others called for her dismissal from her post as IAC's director of corporate communications.

Sacco apparently remained unaware of the controversy caused by the comment until she landed in Cape Town about 12 hours later. She quickly issued a tweet apologizing, then deleted her account.

IAC, which had condemned the message, said on Saturday that the company and Sacco had "parted ways."

IAC operates more than a dozen Internet websites, including the news site The Daily Beast, Vimeo, CollegeHumor and dating websites like Match.com and OKCupid.

I love the hypocrisy of all of this. The conservatives say it is not okay for A&E to punish Phil because they don't agree with what he said. Then Cracker Barrel decides to pull some of the Duck Dynasty products from the shelves and they conservatives call for an immediate boycott of the place. So it is off limits for A&E to punish Phil because the don't agree with him, but it is perfectly fine for them to punish Cracker Barrel when they don't agree a Phil.

Hypocrisy is the second name of the Religious Right. They are a never ending walking contradiction of ignorance and hate.

i'm surprised you're buying into the polarization of this.

I was on a date and she told others, "how dare the Dixie Chicks criticize the President?"

Guess she never heard of the 1st amendment, where any citizen can criticize the Prez.

While people are starving, or we have other issues that need addressing, we in the U.S. are worried about some idiot's comments about sex and free speech . If you don't like gays and lesbians, your right, your choice. I just never thought about people's sexual choice. Something that really didn't matter. Why are people upset what others do?

What does upset me, are people who condemn homosexuals and claim GLBT people have sex with animals or are child molesters. At that point I have to stop and say you are stupid. All you know is what some clown on the radio or TV told you.

I'm not really. I was just humored by how one group wants it both ways. I honestly think this whole thing has been manufactured by A&E and the Duck Dynasty group.

I think when the media picked up on Phil's interview and some backlash started to happen A&E huddled with the Duck family and came up with a plan. They would suspend Phil and see what happened. If that killed the controversy, great. When it only made it bigger they rode it out the Duck family started talking about leaving A&E and suddenly people were up in arms over this.

In the end I am sure Phil will quietly be put back on the show and the ratings will be bigger than other. Both sides win. A&E gets bigger ratings for their show and the Duck family laughs their way to the bank and millions of people run out and buy their products as a show of their support.

To me the troubling thing about the whole Dixie Chicks thing is that is is pretty well documented that then RNC put pressure on radio stations and other outlets to go after the Dixie Chicks.

It is one thing when a group of citizens decides to speak out against someone. It is another when the government takes action against citizens because they don't like what they said.

i see, i read your comment to be a liberal view of conservatives, which surprised me coming from you, your'e generally level-headed on such things. i don't see the comment to be a political one, certainly a few politicians from both sides have seized the photo-op, but to take what a celebrity says and run with it and make it a divisive political issue is quite silly. some repubs have globbed on to it and some dems have also- both to use against the other.

silly = retarded, i just have yet to find a better word for retarded, it's played out!

For sure this whole thing has been a perfect opportunity for both liberals and conservatives to manufacture fake outrage in an effort to grab the headlines.

Is anyone shocked that this guy said what he said? The family calls themselves rednecks, they are all very devout and say faith comes first. So who is surprised that a redneck god fearing guy who makes money hunting isn't pro-gay?
