Your IDEA sounds about right...... except for the actual FACTS about the states with more legal gun-carrying people having LOWER crime rates than the states with tough gun laws.... and the FACT that since Right-To-Carry laws started to sweep across the country, murder rates have dropped in every state where they were passed almost immediately, and have stayed down.

So other than the actual real life numbers of what actually happened, your idea sounds perfectly valid.

I wonder if they have loud music in jail... :winkwink:

In any case, I'm sure that many people in jail will want to have a little talk with Mr Dunn about some of the past comments that he has written, when he joins them:

Quote:

?The jail is full of blacks and they all act like thugs. This may sound a bit radical but if more people would arm themselves and kill these (expletive) idiots, when they?re threatening you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior.?
I wonder after his experience and probable 60-year sentence (effectively a life sentence), will Michael Dunn and other racists take the hint and change their behavior. :upsidedow

Just ignore all the International evidence. By your logic the most dangerous place in the world should be Sweden.

And by YOUR logic the most dangerous place should be Switzerland. They have the highest rate of "assault weapon" ownership in the world and according to my Swiss friends, only about 25 to 40% of the guns are even officially registered.

The fully supported facts that I was quoting are about the USA. Each country is different.

no Martin wanted to get high and needed the skittles so if you say it like that then Martin died because he wanted to get high

That is a very flawed argument. FL has easy access to guns.. In fact I just bought a pistol literally 45 mins ago from another private party. It's not hard to get a carry permit either, yet every day on the news in central FL it's non stop, this person was shot, this house was robbed. Home invasion here yadda yadda..

Texas is yet another place with easy access to guns but go have a look at the murder stats for Dallas/Fort Worth.. Hell they had The First 48 based out of Dallas for at least one season.

People can legally carry guns in both places but in inner cities specially big ones with a lot of low income wages, it's gonna have a lot of crime. People owning legal guns doesn't stop it.

Sure out in Tim buck two.. Nowhereville there might not be much crime and lots of people might own guns, but that's not the reason there is less crime. It's because there isn't as much population shoved into the same tiny spaces.

Tell that to the little girl without a father or the wife of the senile old man who got shot or the parents of the kid playing loud music. In Ga they just made it legal to carry in bars, big fun.

Two tragic, isolated incidences against stats that represent the whole populace.

Yeah, okay then.

No it's FL.. I shit you not when I say there are shootings like this every damn day. They somehow manage to keep how bad it is out of the national media because it would kill tourism and Disney wouldn't like that much less all the other tourist traps.

Just look at the breaking news section from the Orlando Sentinel.. right at this moment there are 11 different shootings listed not including a article about Zimerman and the movie theater guy. It's almost daily arguments that turned to shootings, robberies with shootings either in aggression or defense, home invasions, car jacking a ect..ect..

The Zimmerman shooting and this movie theater guy would of been just another day had the national media not gotten ahold of it.

Which is something Florida's aging population watches closely. I'm sure most national news just says a texter got shot by an ex-cop.

I've seen that video too and as tragic and senseless as the movie theater slaying was, I gotta ask what did the texter actually think was going to happen after he threw the popcorn in the old guys face... and in front of the man's wife no less?

Cornered animals - four-legged and two-legged alike - often make for dangerous opponents.

How about we tell my father that had a guy 60 years younger than him beat on him thru a window only to stop when a S&W 40 that was registered and licensed to carry was pointed at his face?
