You're getting equally emotionally twisted because a lot of people consider these 5 directors overrated, so what's your point? Btw, overrated is not the same as bad. There is a reason why these are the 5 most overrated, not the 5 worst.

I did read novel The Shining, years after I saw the movie. I thought the book was horrible. Stephen writes a lot of crap, that is by far one of his worst books ever. It is one of the few rare cases where the movie is (far) superior to the book.
