One of my favorite cars.

I prefer its predecessor, the BMW M Coupe:

I want one so badly. :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Never owned a Z4 but have had the use of a 2010 model for a while. was a fun drive, feels like you are driving a go kart because of the low center of gravity etc.

Was lots of fun but there were numerous things with put me off getting one.

For the money you are looking at spending i'd get an Audi :2 cents:

z4s are for men who kiss other men inside of z4s

I like the coupe version of the Z4, powerful cars.

I had a Z-M for a month and it was a lot of fun, but my 350Z turned more heads funny enough.

The 370Z is a beauty, you should add that to the list of potentials.

BMW's are always harder on suspension compared to most of the competitors. That's one of their key features. Not for everybody.
I am almost sure that TT or SLK would have softer touch in that regard.

i've had the privilege of driving many different beemers from the past decade. I can say that the Z4, with the run-flat tires, was a god awful ride. the 3 series with the run-flats also sucked but was a heavier car. otherwise i found beemers to be pretty decent. My favorite was the X5 with the diesel engine. gobs of torque & great on gas.

:)

Bit more expensive but if you want a convertible, the new Jag F type looks great

370 is good but the 350's are far better value... I still might check out the GT86 from Toyota as well though where I'm living right now it would get keyed in a day or 2 :(

I'm a bmw fetisist myself... i had a couple of them through the years. Crashed my last one; still sad about it... I even thought about buying a Z4... but... everytime i looked at it i always had this feeling i'm missing my handbag and lipstick.

It was not aimed at you. There were remarks like this:

I was referring to. Remarks that suggested that only females can drive it, not remarks like yours that were valid.

I love my Beemer. The only problem is the cost of repairs. I got lucky and found a decent shop in the ghetto that does repairs for around 1/3 the price of others. Just got an oil change for $50 there as opposed to fucking $250 at the dealership.. :upsidedow
(Car people, why the fuck would a BMW dealer quote me $250 for an oil change?..)

Official dealerships always has rip off prices. My advice is definitely avoid official dealerships for any repair work, except maybe sophisticated that may not be easy for regular shops.
I guess they assume that people who bought a car at their dealership will do maintenance there anyway so they quote top dollar.

Makes sense.
It's funny because my friends who work at official dealership shops get paid 9/hr when everyone else that I know at other shops get at least 15/hr plus book time percentage of the work that they do.. :Oh crap

if your going to spend the money. look at the BMW 1M best bang for your buck...its a little rocket ship

Z4 is an amazing car I wish people over 6 foot could fit in it comfortably. I tend to be stuck against the soft top.

I'm 6 1 and had zero problems in mine, I had the 14 way adjustable seats and pretty much put that puppy to the floor and it was great. I felt like I had a lot of room in it and driving the thing was a ton of fun, it handles so well and will pretty much do as you tell it unless there is a lot of rain on the road.
