MarcusAureliuos you are wrong. bitcoins can be downloaded to offline wallets, not so virtual if you do that right? how can an exchange get hacked and lose coins if you protect them offline? surely something u didnt know about right?

Read thru the threads again, you'll see there is quite a large group of anti-bitcoin people that call it idiotic, stupid, retarded, etc for anyone to mess around with "fake money", "play money" etc etc. These people all claim they don't care, or are not interested in bitcoins yet they are die hard in every thread putting it down.

If someone is posting shit I dont care about, for example gay porn threads, I really would not care to chime in. These guys "dont care" or are "not interested" (about bitcoins) yet they chime in on every bitcoin thread.

Honestly I do not know. I would guess to make fun of and belittle those who are believers in the phantom currency, bitcoin, or similar sort of subjects we see on the forums daily. People still can voice their opinion, and many people do, regardless of their opinion on any given topic. I personally do not see that as "giving a shit" one way or the other.

That being said, we could both read the same thread and replies and take two different meanings from it. Especially if one of us cares, and the other does not. Just like email, the context of words on a forum could be interpreted differently based on the bias or prejudice of those reading it.
