Blacks are subhuman animals.

No, lots of blacks are good people. Its the other 90% we need to send back to fucking Monrovia. Instead of running those "50 cents to save a tiger" we need to run commercials "50 cents to deport three times offender back yo motherland".

The next time we're about to spend billions of dollars to go to war, we should just invest it free pre-k for every kid. My wife's been a 1st grade teacher for a few years, and she's seen the difference between the kids who've had early pre-eduction, and those that had almost no stimulation whatsoever. She said she can always spot the troublemaker on the first day, and they usually fall into the suspected "no-stimulation" group.

Instead of being all about putting band aids on every problem, we should focus on putting kids on a good path before they even get to elementary school. There's always going to be lost causes, but we'd end up with less kids getting suspended, and even better --- less inmates in the prisons. Not trying to say preschool is going to create some Uptopia, but its a better long term investment than kajillion dollar fighter jet program that's mostly just a cash cow for contractors to get paid for having their thumbs up their asses.

Conservatives should be all about this idea, but they have the "every man for himself" thing to deal with, so why worry about other people's kids? They might think its a good idea when one of those kids grows up and shoots him in the head for his Mercedes.

We are quick to blame the parents, but I don't believe this is always the case. Sometimes the kids just aren't motivated or in the right place.

That is completely true. One of my best friends was working hard for his dreams whilst his brothers were violent characters, constantly having problems with the law. And get this, the parents were both teachers, amazing people.
About your black godson and other kids like him coming from a bad neighborhood, you said it best: you can accomplish anything. Ambition, hard work.

That could always happen. Kids are going to be their own person a lot of the time, and if that person is a slacker -- it doesn't matter how they were brought up. But, it doesn't mean every kid shouldn't get a good head start. Not that you were saying that.

There's also kids who could come from the worst situation, and make something of their life. But all the more better if they have great schooling even before they officially get to school. Government helping adults is one thing, but every taxpayer should be happy to make sure little kids get a good start in education because it'll be good for all of us from every angle...crime rate, economy, innovation, etc. It's funny how our elected leaders don't see it as the number one priority in making the country better. It's probably more like number 20 on the list of things important to them, behind drilling for oil, or keeping the industrial war complex running.

There is absolutely no question that 2 parents, good parenting, strong values and two parents that are involved in and that emphasize education are the single most important factors for a child to be successful in life. This has been studied to death.

A group of people where almost 80% of women are having multiple children out of wedlock, raising them as a single parent produces the worst possible results overall when it comes to a childs success in life. This has also been studied to death.

Thats why these conversations are never had about Korean children... or Indian. Or European. Or Pakistani. or Japanese etc etc etc.
