Correct me here as I did not go in deeper research:

yoga - ultrabook with non detachable 360 spinning scree
vaio - just an ultrabook with no tabletish features
surface pro 2 - tablet with attachable keyboard

I mean they all are very different devices to be put in one category. Or not? :)

I did a lot of research. The laptop/tablet devices that has detachable stuff, like keyboard seems breakable to me. And being a worker, not a player*, it seemed like a better idea to get a workhorse rather than a play/surf machine.

In any case, that is why I finally chose the Lenovo Yoga Ultrabook over all the others. Oh, and fuck Apple...

*ha ha ba ha

Mark my word, if the Google fuckers don't get sopped, a few years from now we won't be able to fill up our tanks or buy burgers without signing in with our Google accounts first. It is time for them to die! They've done tons of good, no doubt, now it's time for them to go, like get a gold watch and fuck off into the oblivion.

Google has become a maze of forcefully interlinking accounts, shaking you down for your phone number, next step they want your fucking DNA when log in via another IP. Fuck them!!!!

How do you like it so far? I need a new laptop and I keep going back and forth if I want a big heavy 17" one, or something light. The Yoga looks really good.
Do you actually fold it and use it as a tablet? For me that's unnecessary but I like the lightness of it and the rest of the specs.
For my next computer I think I want a Lenovo or an Asus.

If you plan on doing anything more then browse the internet and answer emails with something like that, you will most likely be disappointed. Just get a small laptop with good processors and RAM.

Been using it for a few days now, and I have to say that it really is a smart machine. I use it as a normal PC for my work, then when I get lazy and just want to surf while on the sofa (whatever) I just turn it over and its a perfect tablet. A tad big, but still very easy... I have to say that it truly is the best of two worlds. Fast, quiet, a bit "warm", good on the eyes, so yeah - no regrets so far. :2 cents:

I am not sure. Simple ultra book (sony vaio) is closer to regular laptop (well it is small/slim laptop) than to tablet + keyword + OS such as surface pro 2.

Thanks a lot. The easy on the eyes part is important to me. I was worried there would be an eyestrain going from a large screen to a 14".
I've been going back and forth for weeks on what laptop to get

This is me trying to decide what laptop to get:

i have an HP slate 21, its good for the kitchen to look up things, but its not tablet. Powered by android.

Surprisingly easy on the eyes. The size is fine...

Do you have the "yellow" problem, where yellow is not "good" yellow as many says? Also is do you run some heavier programs like Photoshop,Visual Studio or something like ..

Thanks

Not yet. I am still working on my old laptop - the mere scope of moving things over, what to move and what to not, backup, bla bla bla will take me a while. So as I speak (type), I am doing it from my old workhorse.

In fact, the only "heavy" programs I will be putting onto the Ultrabook is Photoshop, Imageready, and a few other ones. Ill try to keep it light, because I have people who can do that type of work for me anyways. I tend to think I can work on those software, but I am better at emailing! lol

The one really bad thing I can see from this machine is the fact that it is now constantly with my on the sofa when I really should not be working........ Its too easy.

So old laptop (hdd) died - perfect timing to buy this machine just a few days prior. But now, how do I get my old backup from Win7 to Win8??!!?!!

PS. I hate manuals, someone just tell me please.

Yoga 2 Pro 13 - the one you listed is a notch above in spec and price than mine. I hook it up, when in office, to large screen, and it is great for travel and LAPtop.

Asus Transformer Trio

Laptop, Tablet Windows 8.1, and Tablet Android.

Also you can plug a pc monitor on the keyboard, a feature I like most.
