what is your input on why the NATO allies wouldn't use a massive scandal like that to their advantage?

rather, piss it all away in a bizarre 'he said she said they did' scenario?

obviously strategy far beyond our blinkered minds..

It was not just the US but NATO that did it, I think they used it for what it was. A warning to China to back off and the denial of communications to the Serbs. At that time China wasn't the same economic partner to the West as it is today. It was only 2 years later that the Chinese fighter jet collide with the US spy plane killing the Chinese pilot and forcing the US plane to land in Chinese controlled territory.

We were still very much antagonizing each other, so I think it was just used as a combined way to end the military communications for the Serbs and to tell China to back off and not get involved with any kind of support.

We do, we just do it in other ways than just militarily. Countries that can defend themselves are usually better off economically than those that can't. Meaning hindering them economically, will harm them just as much in the long run.

What would the US gain by bringing troops into the situation in Ukraine? There is just far too much risk of a bigger war, so Russia will push more so they can grab some more land and US/NATO will not do anything forcibly to stop it. There is not any real gains for us to do anything to actually stop it. Russia will try to take more, most likely so they have more to bargain with if there is a deal made. Sadly Ukraine is the one in the middle that gets the shaft either way.

It's short term profits for Russia but in the long term it's going to hurt them a lot economically. Investors will see Russia as unpredictable and Europe will start looking elsewhere for gas. Russia still tries to play the game as if it were the old world and trying to rebuild their old empire land mass. The US understands you don't rule the world by colonialism of the old but rather you control the world economy by trade.

Buy a Black Sea Map and count NATO countries.
US military ships can stay in Black Sea not more than 21 Days.

It's not just a NATO ship. It's the US ship. Perhaps you don't know but Black Sea has very strict limits for of naval ships not belonging to Black Sea states (e.g. the USA).

What exactly the US ship is doing there? What is the purpose of the "visit"? I'll tell you. It came there to provoke Russia. So the US sailors are playing a fool when they "don't understand" what Russian jet is doing near their ship. Because they know it. It's there to provoke the States. That's the rules of the game, and Vendz will confirm it.

P.S. As we say: "if you pull out a gun, always be ready to use it, otherwise you may find it stuck in your own ass".

truth is a matter of perspective.

if you want to have the perspective that the reason NATO launched three cruise missiles at an embassy was because the chinese embassy was communicating with the local army

after making up a bunch of bs about incorrect maps blah blah

be my guest

The fighter appeared to be unarmed, US military said, calling the move ?provocative and unprofessional?.

"This provocative and unprofessional Russian action is inconsistent with their national protocols and previous agreements on the professional interaction between our militaries," said Colonel Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman.

Pentagon defined the jet as a Russian Su-24 aircraft, or Fencer, which made 12 passes at low altitude near the USS Donald Cook that, at the time, was conducting a patrol in international waters in the western Black Sea, Reuters reported.

Earlier, a military official told AP that on April, 12, a Russian aircraft flew repeatedly within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook at about 500 feet above sea level for over 90 minutes.

According to the official, the destroyer?s crew made several attempts to radio the Russian warplane requesting the reason for the manoeuvre. They then reportedly issued warnings to remain at a safe distance, however, there was no response from the Russian pilot.

The Russians sure are putting a fuck u up to the US :helpme

http://rt.com/news/pentagon-destroyer-russian-jet-428/

Actually I think the biggest fuck U comes at the hand of the US, by the mere fact that we have naval vessels in the black sea and the only thing they can do about it, is to fly unarmed jets by our boats.
