You're telling me that guns and snipers with rifles pointing at the heads of the sheriff was really necessary? Bundy's case has nothing at all to do with the second amendment.

You're so stupid, it's just almost unbelievable. Almost.

Tanks, rockets, and nuclear weapons are not protected by the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment protects only arms which one may "keep" and "bear." "The term (p.13)'arms' as used by the drafters of the constitutions probably was intended to include those weapons used by settlers for both personal and military defense... The term 'arms' would not have included cannons nor other heavy ordnance not kept by militiamen or private citizens." State v. Kessler, 289 Or. 359, 368, 614 P.2d 94, 98 (1980).

the Federalist papers are key documents in the history of the USA

The Federalist Papers are a series of 85 articles and essays written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay promoting the ratification of the United States Constitution.

and James Madison a key person in the creation of the USA.

He is hailed as the "Father of the Constitution" for being instrumental in the drafting of the United States Constitution and as the key champion and author of the United States Bill of Rights.

In The Federalist No. 46, James Madison alluded to "the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation." Madison, Hamilton, and Jay, The Federalist Papers 299 (Arlington House ed. n.d.) Madison continued, "Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." Id.

Noah Webster, the influential federalist whose name still appears on dictionaries, stated: "Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe.

When I was stationed in Fort Drum I use to go up to Kingston, Canada to fuck around with the clubs, ladies and what not on the weekends in July. I only went in July because it seemed like it was only 2 seasons up there, winter and july. I actually had a chance to meet the canadian military one day when I was lookin for a hotel to crash, he was the coolest dude you'd ever meet. Nigga aint want no problems, just cool as polar bear shit. He wasnt worried about american guns, he was just interested in puttin me on this little secret strip club joint, where the bitches let you touch all on and in them and let you fuck. Why can't the rest of yall niggas be like him?

Cases in point:

45 People Shot in Chicago this past easter:
http://www.blacknews.com/news/chicag...l#.U1gSk15Mm3B

OK to carry guns into bars, some government buildings and places of worship in GA:

And then there was these guys playing Militia last week during the Bundy Cattle thing:

Is all of this really necessary? Really? Don't you think things are just a little bit out of control? Wouldn't the world be a better place if you could swap your guns for flowers? (My brother hates it when I say that lol!)

I am not anti american in any way - However, you do have a habit of inflicting your values on those closest to you and my government at least loves to roll over - I am guessing that it's similar in Canada - That's why we have something to say about America...

you realize that's flipped flopped right? You're saying since UK and Canada rollover that you're entitled to have a say in our affairs, especially pointing out the ones taken issue with.

If those nations are gonna rollover, well.

What happens in the US does not stay in the US - It has an affect on the rest of us - Some countries like the UK like it - Some don't - We are all entitled to an opinion on the things that effect us...

Sure, I get that. But at the same time countries go along with the US just because. I'm saying maybe it should be the other way around.

But that also doesn't have much to do with **********'s biased troll threads such as these.

Why do we need gun control laws? People die from gun violence anyway...

Why do cars have seat belts? People die in car wrecks anyway...

I still don't understand why I'm not allowed to own a fully auto rocket launcher, 2nd amendment says so.

Because I love Americans? :)

But seriously, it just seems to me (Our news covers lots of US events) that the gun laws are too relaxed, and that people are afraid of losing their guns, and that the Stand your Ground Law is insane... it's just a point of view from someone outside, looking in.

But seriously everyone... no need to get bent out of shape over this.

Let me ask a question: Sure, everyone is allowed to own a gun, and sure, everyone here on GFY will use it to target practice or in self defence only. Everyone on GFY passes a background check, etc etc. Everyone is a law abiding citizen and you deserve to own a gun if you want one. CHECK.

So now then, why not pass a law, to keep guns out of the hands of criminals? Of crazy people? Why not make it illegal to carry a gun into a school? Or a bar? Do you not think that this is going too far?

They also just had fucking muskets back then with marauding British around and no standing army.... Second amendment is extremely archaic and needs to be updated.

Not my job to educate you. Anybody that understands WHY our 2nd Amendment exists has no problem understanding exactly how and why it applies to this situation.

And why should an American have to educate a Canadian? Dont you fuckers already know everything?

I don't really get bent out of shape about gun control either way, but one funny thing I've noticed...

When you start talking to real pro-gun folks about why their right to own assault rifles & whatnot is so important, 99% of the time it comes out that they have this juvenile fantasy of being the last bastion of Freedom & Liberty for this hazy future time when the big bad gubmint truly decides to take over. They really feel it's a plausible scenario that they and other gun owners will band together into like an effective resistance force to protect fellow citizens from the Feds or the US Army or the One World Government i.e. UN.

It's just a fairyland left over from playing cowboys & indians at age 8, what cracks me up is that these grown men take it dead serious and have no idea how childish they sound.

In most places, it is illegal to carry a gun in schools. Colorado for instance, you're not allowed to do that there. Can't carry them in movie theaters either. Clearly passing such laws has helped eliminate shootings in CO schools and theaters....Right?

Mark, lets pretend for a moment that you attend a high school basketball game. At some point in the game, some dudes bust through the door and open fire. One of them approaches your area, grabs you or your wife/friend/kid, and sticks a gun to their head....

Would you rather:

1: Offer him a swig of your Molson Ice

2: Explain to him that you don't believe in guns

3: Throw your beer at him

4: Pull out your own gun and have a fighting chance to defend yourself and your loved ones?
