Looks like google is really cracking down. They targets another tube site of mine.

I guess tubes are dead now. Oh well, traffic was good for a while.

Time to move on to something else.

I guess that's it for embedded tube sites. I removed all ads from analcougars.com and asked for reconsideration. This is the response I got today. Google does not tell you what the issue is. This is the 2nd attempt with the same canned reply.

Reconsideration request for http://www.analcougars.com/: Site violates Google's quality guidelines

Google received a reconsideration request from a site owner for http://www.analcougars.com/.

We've reviewed your site and we believe that http://www.analcougars.com/ still violates our quality guidelines. These guidelines outline illicit practices which may lead Google to take action on a site in order to keep webspam out of search results. In order to preserve the quality of our search engine, pages from http://www.analcougars.com/ may not appear or may not rank as highly in Google's search results, or may otherwise be considered to be less trustworthy than sites which follow the quality guidelines.

Please correct or remove all content that is outside our quality guidelines. Keep in mind that simply deleting all of your site?s content and immediately requesting reconsideration will not lead to success. Instead we recommend that you spend considerable time and effort to make sure your site provides original, valuable content for users. In order to have a successful reconsideration request, you will need to show that your updated site contains content that does not violate our guidelines.

For more specific information about the status of your site, visit the Manual Actions page in Webmaster Tools. From there, you may request reconsideration of your site again when you believe your site no longer violates the quality guidelines.

they have said they will not be listing sites who have the same stuff as lots of other sites - no unique content. your site looks like its just reposting stuff from redtube, exactly what they say they are not going to list.

xpimp 05-19-2014 06:19 PM

well that means that big scrap sites like xnxx or ixxx will be hit also?

I doubt it.

They're established, and I think that's what makes the difference.

xpimp 05-19-2014 06:31 PM

damn it...i was just about to launch some scrap tube also, i think it will not worth the effort anymore

A lot of tube sites other than the main porntube, xhamster, redtube, etc use embedded videos from main tube sites.

I guess a lot of other tube sites that use embedded videos will get hit by google now.

Someone told me that having hardlinks to my other sites caused my sites to get delinked from google.

Any truth in this?

Unless you had too many hardlinks(link farm), pointing to other sites, i don t see that to be the reason but if you said you received the pure spam penalty and not the thin content one, then it implies that you had some sort of link farm over there and in combination with only embeddings (nothing original - thin content), can trigger the alarm very fast, especially if your tube scrappers didn't had any authority, age etc.

I don't understand how you are surprised you got hit with a spam penalty when your site is the exact definition of spam.

You need to try and have at least some original content and in some way make your site unique.

You can't just scrape a bunch of content from other sites and then hope that all works out.

Armysmoke , as I told you in PM your websites do not get deranked because of content ( thats my opinion ) but just because you link them all from your other websites that have all same structures and type of content I guess.

Simon 05-22-2014 05:20 AM

Think about how easy it is for the Big G to know what you're doing when you post on public boards and use their Gmail servers to discuss matters related to manipulating search results to your benefit.

Almost all attempts to improve your SERPs will be see as manipulation by Google. They will penalize you for that, and it may be called a thin content penalty or an unnatural link penalty or something else. But mostly it's a penalty for doing something that they said in their webmaster guidelines that you should not do.

Posting about buying and selling links in public, posting the urls of sites where you're doing this, or even talking about some of the SEO techniques you're using on a public board ... all of those are things you won't ever do again some day in the future.

In the meantime it's like you're using a sniper rifle to shoot yourself in the foot.

...and then asking how that hole in your foot got there.

:-|

P.S. Who thinks a link profile with 33K links from only 12 domains, with all of them gained within less than 2 months, and using mostly just the same 3 anchor texts would ever be seen as "natural looking" by today's algorithms?

.
