It's not just developing countries, it's right here in the USA as well. While our waters don't look like that we still trash the land in other ways, be it industrial waste or just destroying the land. Yesterday I came over a small group of foot hills with a smaller mountain here in NM and when I hit the top of the pass, one of the hill tops was in the process of being destroyed by miners or used as a gravel pit or something. I dunno wtf they they were doing out side of destroying it by literally chopping off the top of the hill and hauling it all away, so someone could make a few bucks while the damage will last forever.
I've seen this before of the east coast, where they coal mine, and just destroy the sides of mountains. The shit should be illegal.
Traveling is great, but one of the major downers is seeing how badly people treat the planet.
