I sure hope they get this mess worked out.
It is still unbelievable that they could fuck this up as bad as they have! |

Moniker sucks, plain and simple.....seems they have always had issues.
|
The site seems worse for me now, it isn't showing which of my domains are set to expire and which are set to renew.
I'm going to move valuable domains soon if this isn't resolved, the old system was so much better. |
It is amazing how much crap (minor) I am finding does not work properly or poorly done on the site.
On hold for more than 10 minutes already. Wonder if they will be able to beat the auto-logout.. |
We had been on hold 40mins on Fri when moniker rep picked up. Started to tell him the latest issue,, he says "oh yeah that is wrong.." then we get disconnected.
We call back 40+ minutes on hold tell that guy we got disconnected, he tells us about the bad thunderstorms they are having in the area...ok, so tell him the issues, get disconnected. re: the automatic log out feature... we had a rep tell us last week it was because we weren't using the new username they assigned us to login. You know the new username that they in no way notified us about...:helpme |
New username is the # within the brackets of the subject of any invoice emails you receive for future reference. I had to call in to figure mine out.

so far they renewed 2 domains of mine that I didn't want renewed
they charged for the domains I didn't want renewed they renewed a domain I wanted to renew but double charged my card I still haven't reached a live CSR on the phone, despite being on hold several times for an hr no response to my tickets no ability to add privacy to the domain I did want to renew I could log in to the site today but the interface was down with an apology message receiving multiple emails to wire money to pay for domains that are already paid for whether I wanted to pay for them or not I tried to transfer 2 domains out a while ago that I wanted to keep but it didn't work on Moniker's end |
You guys should just relax and let the bugs get fixed, the press release states they know there is a lot of problems.

A registrar is nothing more than an online Mortgage Bank! They are responsible for your online real estate. They have ONE job. It's all about trust, and they have lost mine forever. Unbelievable that anyone would give a registrar a pass like this. It's ALL TRUST! :2 cents: |

Changed the DNS on 48 names more than 24 hours ago as my first step to pull out. Everything is still 404.
Not having a good day. |

We do apologize for this error. Despite auto-renew being turned off in the old system when the system was migrated, domains were temporarily set to ?auto-renew? and the system processed the payment. This is a known issue and the accounting team have begun voiding the invoices and issuing refunds. We do apologize for the delay but you will receive your refund soon and the domains will be removed from your account. Let's see if / when it happens... |
How for Christ's sake could they ever, ever release this..
I wonder if they ever did any testing at all, plus there's no improvement I would even notice, not a single one, it all looks like some indian third party "programming" work. Fortunately I have only one domain I wanted to let expire in June that shows as expired, the rest is still there, so hopefully no damage, but the way the "dis"communicated this and the very idea to release this in the first place is a total disaster. I signed up with them before they were ever bought out, think around 2007/8, after the very first acquisition still never had any issues (never even needed to use support) but now I'm up for recommendations to switch. |
I finally got an email apology from Moniker's brain dead CEO Bonnie Wittenburg 9 days too late. What a load of bullshit.

Good to see the press releases, but it would have been nice to not find out about them here.
|
Also, usually when new interfaces are out,it is gived first to users to beta test to see is everything fine, not inhouse. That is how name.com did it when they were doing new interface, they gave users a lot of time to test new interface before switching to it.

I just realized that grey box that says "Start Your Domain Search!" is a clickable text input... :1orglaugh
Not intuitive at all, but this one could just be me being an idiot :2 cents: |

I checked it today and it has critical issues. Several things don't even make sense. It took effort to get it that wrong.
|
I think you really have to question the managements abilities to run a company when you get such a screw up like this.
Even the response after the event has been embarrasing. I don't expect Bonnie Wittenburg to be heading them up for long. |
The craziest part is that these morons didn't build this, it's a reseller admin from some German company. Which explains why it is completely counterintuitive to all of us flag waving 'mericans. Disturbingly though that seems to indicate there was a chance to make it better before going live, instead they pulled it out of the box and flipped a switch.
I have quotes from Enom(thanks Bari), name, namesilo, fabulous, and hover. they all ended up at approx. $8.50. so now i have to look at the admin areas, dns/mx, and extras like whois privacy, parking, etc. Bari@Enom and Joel@Hover have been the easiest and quickest to work with. |
This is just a friendly reminder to check your expiring domains at Moniker. The last renewal notice I got was May 31st. It's been 18 days since and they haven't sent a single renewal notice after the change to the new interface.
|
Moniker is one of the most difficult to transfer domains out...
My advice is RUN don't walk to another registrar. They have sucked for years. |

http://www.domaindiscount24.com/en BTW, support never bothered replying to my email, did WHOIS privacy used to be $1 for anyone? It shows $4 now but I could have sworn it used to be $1 - did they delete all the previous/custom pricing that accounts had set? |
I'm also wondering what the deal is with whois.. I had mine set to free and yeah its showing up as $4 bucks!
|
It doesn't matter what Moniker is charging these days if you do the smart thing and transfer out your domains.
|
My whois was set at .30c but like others $4 now. No response from ticket either
