Yeah, this. I find this kind of alarming. |
Moniker sucks.
|
My domains are still stuck with them as they don't even allow whois checks for transfer outs.
I always get: Unable to retrieve current domain contacts from UWhois (10) They're so bad it hurts. |

7am EST. Moniker support is now open. Get you calls in now before they get overwhelmed again...

Unfortunately they appear not to have gotten your memo :Oh crap Still under construction today is not making me less nervous. |
It could not be any worse...
-NetworkSolutions sent us 31 emails saying we acquired new domains from Snapnames(owns Moniker) except that those domains were all ours from a moniker account. I think moniker dropped some of our domains and I picked back them up into a NetSol account?? -I'm now +3 domains in my Moniker account that I never bought or transferred.. maybe we should start a lost & found list here so we can give each other back our domains :thumbsup -I'm still unable to successfully renew a domain that I actually do own.. |
looks like a new email showed up, not really sure what it means
|
yep, new email...best part is:
"Because of the migration...to the new platform you MAY have had difficulties expressing your interest to renew those domains." Yeah I may have had some difficulties expressing my interest..:1orglaugh |
Weirdly, I haven't received any of the Moniker emails, except for an odd new format one which points out that I have one domain set to not auto-renew in July.
I searched my spam folder for Moniker and the only thing I found was the GFY newsletter. |
How do you go about transferring domains out of Moniker now with there new interface?
I don't see any 'Transfer Out' tab anymore. Is 'Domain Push' the same thing? |
Domain Push just transfers it to another Moniker account.
To transfer out: Make sure the domain is unlocked Click on the domain Select Advanced Settings Click on "Request auth code via email" Go you your new registrar and follow their steps for transferring a domain. You will pay for a year of registration, and use the "auth code" you got from Moniker. Watch your emails for messages from both Moniker and the new registrar that will approve and speed up the transfer. Quote:

Have these issues been resolved? I don't see any missing domains in my account. What is the best registrar out their for porn sites these days?

Did the whois privacy go up, I see it listed at $4 and could of sworn it was $1 before. Also the help icon for the whois privacy shows the following, WTF is dd24?
"Here you can enable the Whois Proxy Service. To protect your data from abuse, dd24 provides through a Partner a privacy protection service keeping your data confidential." |
Looks simple to me, I don't have one domain with them..
|
Check your domains, we just found about 30 of our sites down and found out that even though they are renewed and DNS is ours in Moniker interface, WhoIs records show it is someone elses DNS!

Finally.
Got access to the domains that were missing from my account! I tracked them down to Network Solutions, and gave Moniker the account number on Monday. This morning, I got an email from NS adding my email address and name to the account. All the whois info is still Moniker's, but now I have access so I can change it. I seriously doubt this would have worked out by itself if I hadn't noticed the missing domains myself. |
I sure hope they get this mess worked out.
It is still unbelievable that they could fuck this up as bad as they have! |

Moniker sucks, plain and simple.....seems they have always had issues.
|
The site seems worse for me now, it isn't showing which of my domains are set to expire and which are set to renew.
I'm going to move valuable domains soon if this isn't resolved, the old system was so much better. |
It is amazing how much crap (minor) I am finding does not work properly or poorly done on the site.
On hold for more than 10 minutes already. Wonder if they will be able to beat the auto-logout.. |
We had been on hold 40mins on Fri when moniker rep picked up. Started to tell him the latest issue,, he says "oh yeah that is wrong.." then we get disconnected.
We call back 40+ minutes on hold tell that guy we got disconnected, he tells us about the bad thunderstorms they are having in the area...ok, so tell him the issues, get disconnected. re: the automatic log out feature... we had a rep tell us last week it was because we weren't using the new username they assigned us to login. You know the new username that they in no way notified us about...:helpme |
New username is the # within the brackets of the subject of any invoice emails you receive for future reference. I had to call in to figure mine out.

so far they renewed 2 domains of mine that I didn't want renewed
they charged for the domains I didn't want renewed they renewed a domain I wanted to renew but double charged my card I still haven't reached a live CSR on the phone, despite being on hold several times for an hr no response to my tickets no ability to add privacy to the domain I did want to renew I could log in to the site today but the interface was down with an apology message receiving multiple emails to wire money to pay for domains that are already paid for whether I wanted to pay for them or not I tried to transfer 2 domains out a while ago that I wanted to keep but it didn't work on Moniker's end |
You guys should just relax and let the bugs get fixed, the press release states they know there is a lot of problems.

A registrar is nothing more than an online Mortgage Bank! They are responsible for your online real estate. They have ONE job. It's all about trust, and they have lost mine forever. Unbelievable that anyone would give a registrar a pass like this. It's ALL TRUST! :2 cents: |
