What advantages does your currency have over say, a crypto-currency which other people might actually want or have a use for?

I think this is a scam because:

1) it serves no real purpose other than to enrich the owner of the coin, the one with the huge pre-mine.

This is an attempt to make money from those who don't understand crypto-currency or investments in general.

If you wanted to benefit from the anonymity crypto-coins bring, rather than having porn users have to download "wank coin wallets", you'd simply allow an existing crypto payment method (one with existing infrastructure, so it's mildly possible to make the payment anonymously).

What's the point of a crypto specifically for porn, if you want anonymity pick a widely used coin. But that's never been the point. Eh?

1) Supported natively and out of the box on sites that matter.
2) No need for a processor like BitPay, which can (and has, apparently) exclude adult transactions.
3) Has a champion inside of the industry to push good-for-porn and good-for-wankcoin agendas.


I'd argue that the majority of currencies currently on the market are similar. While the technical innovation hasn't been in the currency code (which other coins have obviously done to great success), the native acceptance is a big advantage, and a "soft" contribution on the part of the creators. Skin in the game, in a sense. Dave is accepting signups with it -- if the currency tanks, his signups are worth zero along with any investors or miners.


1) Pre-mining isn't the taboo it once was. Granted, I think it was ill-advised for the short-term viability of the currency, but I'd argue that the financial reward for working hard on a currency is better paid intrinsically in the currency itself; without this benefit, why put in the work?

2) The infrastructure for existing coins is exactly why a porn-industry-controlled coin was needed. On a whim, any of the providers could decide to not accept payments for adult, and anyone without the software to interact with the blockchain would be out in the cold, overnight. Here, it's possible to control the currency, the feature sets, the wallet, and the acceptance end-to-end.

Umm yeah.. Either you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what Bitcoin is, or are just pretending not to understand. The attractive thing about Bitcoin is the way it's not controlled by anybody. You don't need to depend on 'providers' if you don't want to.

Having a "porn-industry-controlled coin" sounds like a massive waste of time, the only beneficiary is going to be the early insiders who dump their worthless coins to investors who don't understand crypto-currency and think this is anything other than a pump-and-dump.

I'll leave you guys be to do your thing, it's none of my business, but I feel obligated to call out an obvious swindle when I spot one. 99% chance this coin will be "dead" within 24 months max, simply because it makes no damn sense from any other perspective other than a money-maker for the creators via ill-informed investors. Lots of adult sites use BitPay, or at least was using until short time ago - where is the source of this info that BitPay excluded adult transact?

By the way I was contacted by some https://www.gocoin.com guys , who was trying to get customers in adult market, I am sure they contacted a few others. They support litecoin and dogecoin too, so I was considering... but I asked them: your company is based in Singapore where it is illegal to deal with or bill for adult sites (provided them a link of Singapore laws). They said they will investigate the issue (like if they had no idea of this?), and not replied since, it is now several weeks.

To me, it looks like those bitcoin (and alt-coin) biller companies do this: setup, try to get everyone as merchant, then only later, they figure they have to drop several, including adult sites. For example Coinbase got $30 million funding by venture capital, what if some of these guys will not like articles about they fund porn processors? Coinbase willl then go the Apple Store way cleaning all the porn.

More than a problem of bitcoin or wankcoin, it is the matter of the biller or exchange company... those mainstream and venture funded may accept also adult sites first in order to make more numbers to show, but then kick out the dirt at later stage. Remember about adult that american express and paypal first billed for, then no more.

It makes most sense that adult billers or companies will setup whatever-coin billers at low fees, for bitcoin , litecoin or whatever for adult sites. Much like for dollars, everyone moves dollars, just some don't do for adult sites. Is not the dollar or bitcoin, is the bank and biller.

You didn't really read anything I said. I don't own a single WankCoin. I offered to buy a 20% outstanding stake for 100 Bitcoins, but I do not currently own any.

I also said that those without direct Blockchain processing (which is virtually EVERYONE in adult) would be left out in the cold if their provider dropped adult.

It's very simple to accept Bitcoins without using a provider. It would be a matter of creating a very simple script, this most likely already exists.

The biggest reason to use a provider today is usually, when companies want their sales revenue BTC converted directly to USD. Also, convenience. But in the event providers banned adult companies, it wouldn't be a big deal.

Plus - using WankCoin doesn't solve this problem. Are there any processors which convert WankCoins directly to USD for merchants? If not, than any simple script which accepts a crypto-coin would work just fine. There are no real advantages.. C'mon dude..

I predict this particularly unimaginative bitcoin copy will be dead/totally worthless within 24 months, but more likely than that <12months or maybe even 6. It's a pathetic pump-and-dump style money making attempt, you've literally brought nothing but a marketing video to the table.

Just an update on my statement about gocoin.com - they finally replied me that they do accept adult sites as they're not just based in Singapore. In fact, metart accepts bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin (lol) via gocoin. Maybe they could support wankcoin too - I think bitpay and coinbase are going to support bitcoin only... so perhaps gocoin could support titcoins, wankcoins and the such as soon as they come out, all in a same processor. Unlikely the average program will support one different biller per cryptocurrency.

convince these guys to make a mainstream version with a peg - like Berkshire A shares and B shares. Then we can have fun trading them back and forth.

I love these threads. I just bought some Wankcoin and I'm going to start accepting it on my porn sites along with Bitcoin.
