What happened to the USA that loved science and rationality?

How did the richest country in the World become a religious fruit cake?

The US has always been religious, it's in the constitution. Even though not many Christians signed the declaration

But the law isn't about employers supplying food to their employees, but instead choosing what healthcare they provide based on what god they worship.

so once again corporations have rights, you as a human being don't have, got to luv this "democracy" you got there

also what straight man is against birth control, if you love sex with a woman of course :)

1. Just because a justice writes something in a dissent does not make it law. :2 cents:
2. The ruling had nothing to do with birth control; birth control prevents conception. It was against things like the morning after pill and IUDs because they kill fertilized eggs; in other words, aborting the fetus if you believe life begins at conception which is scientifically factual.

EVERY insurance policy I have ever had since 1969 has had items that were not covered.

And this has what to do with the OP?

Why are the liberals always changing the subject?

They bitch that the supreme court has taken away women's rights and waged a war on women, then they are corrected with the facts that Hobby Lobby is providing contraception, 16 different kinds, they just don't want to pay for abortion medication! That the company is even providing a $14 an hour minimum wage, yet they still want to boycott them?

Instead of backing off, they change the subject to food stamps

vegasbobby 07-01-2014 09:21 PM

dude what are you talking about. This is about ace socialized health care law that should have been passed.and that created ruled by the federal government that everyone had to obey no matter what.that's called socialism its called dictatorship there's plenty of it in Europe.and if you keep supporting these progressives and liberals. do not see a correlation between the VA scandal this monster of a healthcare system they're providing to all the citizens.over 1000veterans some good gotten sick and some that have died. Before anyone even notices or tries to do anything. And why.the reason all those people died is because there is a public unions. That was more interested in making bonus money and getting people to the doctor. All supported by your friendly progressive liberal. They don't care about you take care about only your vote and all tricked out of you anyway they can.

also
1. all caps? you think that makes you right, no, it makes you look weak and dumb
2. racism? who'd have thunk it from someone living in a state where 80% of weirdo stories come from
3. third world? mmmm wanna test average internet speed etc... ignorant buffoon, also you do realize that some parts of the US basically look like the poorest areas of Romania right
4. I am stupid to even try to argue with an ALL CAPS-idiot

TheSquealer 07-02-2014 06:13 AM

This was a lawsuit to determine the status and limitations of corporations with respect to their legally being considered a person.

Furthermore, a similar case a couple years ago had already clarified this issue and the Administration literally had zero chance of winning.

Lastly, with respect to the contraceptives in question (something like 4 out of a total of 32), women still have free access to contraceptives as always and nothing has changed that.

You people have to be some of the fucking dumbest idiots on the face of the earth.

When you can imprison a corporation it is a real person.

Any 'rights' a corporation has are inherited from it's shareholders.

I am sure that that "Religious Bookstore" is going to heaven -- St. Peter is awaiting, LMAO.

It's going to take a constitutional amendment to limit any corporate political or social rights.

Corporations', Religious Bodys' and Organized Labors' PACs need to be banned by a constitutional amendment -- they are the reason the USA's politics are so fucked up.

We the People had (and was meant to have) a narrow interpretation when it was written ... The Constitution does not preamble "We the PAC your corporate and social masters" ...

The US Supreme Court can only be overruled by Constitutional Amendment -- SCOTUS cannot strike down constitutional law -- there are limits to hypocrisy ... Wouldn't that be "legislating from the bench?" Where the hell have I heard that before ... If the shoe fits wear it.

I support a Constitutional amendment saying that corporations are not people and they do not have the right to spend money to buy our politicians.
to that end support WOLF PAC http://www.wolf-pac.com/ which is trying to get States to call a convention to achieve this goal
2 states have called for a convention
in 8 others bills are in progress of being filed

I was speaking of the legal concept of corporate personhood and its tested and untested limitations, you clueless dipshit. Obviously, I wasn't suggesting a corporation is a flesh and blood person. It was my fault for assuming any real degree of intelligence on behalf of the reader when that was clearly an unrealistic expectation in this forum. Further, rights don't come from shareholders, they are granted by the law in the legal jurisdictions within which you conduct your business. Corporate governance is not the same as legal rights.

You think corporations need to be banned by Constitutional Amendment? You mean like the company you hide your domains behind to provide WhoIs privacy? Or the company you conduct your business through to shield your personal assets? You think you, then as a person without any corporate protection can't get sued by a foreign company you do business with and lose everything you own for no real reason at all other than someone decided they don't like you? I'm sure you're paying webmasters and cam models from your personal checking account right? Oh,... no? Thats odd.

In a sea of completely clueless idiots, you two fucking morons now stand totally alone.

SmutHammer 07-02-2014 02:02 PM

Here is an idea, open your own business and do things how you like. If you don't like how someone runs (Their place!) then don't work or shop there.

Simple, and how things should be. Stop crying about others and focus on yourself.

tony286 07-02-2014 05:49 PM

and the fun starts http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewir...ng-hobby-lobby
"The day after the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling, a group of religious leaders sent a letter to President Barack Obama asking that he exempt them from a forthcoming executive order that would prohibit federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT people."
