I'm not. And then in the second quote you basically are calling me and anybody else who disagrees with you a redneck. Then you made your third quote. My position in this discussion has been pretty clear: The "science" that you are going with is based completely on outdated computer models that used faulty data from over a decade ago. Nature adapted, things have changed and those models are WRONG. What grapesoda showed in the original post is that these scientists don't want to lose their funding and therefore are willing to ignore, distort, and try to hide the new data. And what I said was...if it's really happening, then why isn't one single govt. actually DOING something about it? Other than having conferences and talking...none of them have done a thing. And the BIGGEST offender in pollution is the United States military. Ships, planes, tanks, hummers, jeeps, and of course dropping bombs everywhere. If the Democrat Party really, really believes in this...then WHY aren't they voting to bring the military back home and stop "destroying the Earth"? The military does more than everything else COMBINED to pollute and leave a carbon footprint. It's the real "culprit" IF "Global Warming" is man made. But instead...it's business as usual. Military bases around the world, military jets flying all over the world, tanks rolling, hummers speeding about...and the politicians in Washington D.C. riding around in big ass limos and flying in private jets. I think that Pres. Obama is privy to a lot more information about "global warming' than you or I. And yet...he leaves that HUGE carbon footprint as he left the White House on Air Force One to go to Martha's Vinyard and vacation at a 12 million dollar mansion. And Sen. Majority leader Harry Reid. He's the leader of the Dems and the Senate. He's my Senator from Nevada...though his "residence" here is a one bedroom apt. in a tiny shithole town called "Searchlight, NV"...he actually lives in the Ritz Carlton in a penthouse suite. While he's taking his limousine from the big penthouse suite at the Ritz back and forth to Capital Hill...why isn't he DOING anything? I bet he's privy to all the real data and inside info on "global warming". But nope. He just leaves his big ass carbon footprint and does nothing. Wouldn't you think that if those two powerful leaders REALLY thought that "global warming" was happening they would DO something? But they damn sure want YOU to live like it does. Funny how that works huh? Do as I say, not as I do. That seems to be the message. When I see the govt. actually take action, that's when I'll KNOW it's not a money scam to sell carbon credits. And the fact that "Carbon Credits" even exist should tell you all you need to know. |
lol @ bringing up the 10k challenge to prove a negative. Even the guy offering it states 'it can't be proven' - that people can't understand what he is saying with that statement is pretty funny.

Is Crockett pretty much the standard issue way that Democrats treat the rest of the world? If so, then I am glad I'm no longer a Democrat. Hatefulness and playing the race card on every discussion. :disgust |

I worded my comment like that because regardless of the historical use of both terms, law and theory, man-made global warming is neither. But global warming alarmist expect the other side to disregard that because they know better about that, laws and theories. My style of arguing that sort of logic is to apply the same logic back, that's why I also point out the fact that the scientific method is being perverted with this science is settled mantra because, you know, 97% of a bunch of people knocked knocked on each other's research a few years ago so end of discussion. not only does that smack of elitism, it's wrong. But worse, as I mentioned above, it absolutely halts any opportunity to sway the other side to come around to what global alarmists want them to do. :2 cents: :) |

How about you offer him $10k to prove that it's real? |

I'm not "right" which I guess you mean to say "conservative". I'm more liberal than you will ever be in your wildest dreams. I'm not ignoring "scientific fact". Matter of fact I keep bringing up that YOU are ignoring the newest data and clinging to old outdated data. The only straw I would grasp would be the one cut in half to do a line with. I question EVERYTHING. You are the one who just takes your talking points from the Democrat Party and MSNBC. There...that just about covered all your lies. Now go back to playing the race card and hating on your fellow human beings. That seems to be what you are good at. |

You haven't shown anybody anything. You aren't a scientist. You aren't an expert. You are a clown on GFY who has earned no respect. And now you are making people run the opposite way of what you are trying to push. You bring up hateful diatribes against the GOP and then you play the race card. And I have no idea how either of those things even popped up on your keyboard in a discussion on climate change. Look...if you hate yourself for being white and you hate the majority of people in this country for not blindly accepting "Carbon Credits" and Solyndra style cronyism/tax payer money give-aways...then I can't help you man. Go see a shrink and get some therapy. You're going to need it when the mid-term elections happen. |
Boggles the mind there are so many Republican pornographers around here.

There may be some guys around here who aren't really in the porn biz but are on the fringes (pay processors, affiliates who have never even set foot on a set, etc.)...but actual pornographers who are Republicans? I'd like to know who they are. :) But again...what does a discussion of global warming have to do with Republicans? Is it because a lot of Republican politicians get their money from Big Oil? That makes sense. But just like Democrat politicians get their money from green energy groups...it doesn't mean that actual CITIZENS who identify themselves as Dems or Republicans believe the same thing as the crooks in Washington D.C. who call themselves Republicans and Democrats. |
"But just like Democrat politicians get their money from green energy groups."
because everyone knows solar power is where all the old money in this country is? |
Quote:
Just like with Solyndra. My thoughts on that one was why in the hell did they just hand them money instead of HIRING them to start installing solar panels on every federal building in the country? The only answer I can come up with is: nobody in Washington D.C. really gives a shit about "global warming" and they are only interested in power and money. Anyway, you seem to be pretty hostile about things and I've had enough of that shit from assholes that I don't even know on GFY. So I'm just gonna say: I don't want to argue with you. If you don't think something's a little bit off about the whole thing, that's your right. Me? I don't trust ANY career/lifetime bureaucrat living in Washington D.C. and spending other people's money. I'm a little jaded. lol |

Ever heard of a guy named Nicola Tesla? Greatest inventor of the 20th century and some think more intelligent than Einstein. Scraped by his whole life and died broke in a NY hotel. But in your mind someone like Sarah Palin is more intelligent because she knows how to make a buck from fools like you. |
Quote:
And I'm pretty sure that Tesla wasn't on the same level as Einstein. He was in head to head competition and feuding with Thomas Edison. |
it's always a classy move to attack someone personally, then to bring up their alleged income. then making a stretch of an argument that if someone isn't making enough money, in your eyes, their opinion is worthless. a true sign of your character. karma's a bitch BM. sleep tight.

While everyone argues about this the fact remains that nobody here is a climatologist and so none of us can properly evaluate the data.
There are hundreds of studies both for an against and none of us here is equipped to process them all and form an accurate opinion. So we have to look at other factors. 1. Hundreds of scientists around the world consistently say it's true vs a smaller few who say it's not true. (So I would tend to believe the majority) 2- Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Big Oil say it's a hoax. (Now I believe it even more) 3- Carbon taxing is talked about by governments as a way to fix the problem. (Don't like this at all and will NOT vote for any party who endorses this). So I believe it, and would love to be proven wrong. |

Tesla was never committed, he didnt have a family. The voices he claimed he could transmit through the air was a little known invention called radio. Edison didnt beat out his business model, he stole many of Tesla's ideas and took credit for them including the AC motor and AC current technology. Tesla didnt have a business model, his concern was his contributions to mankind, not how much money he could accumulate. |

The funny thing is somehow you thing you're immune, that the beach cities will be underwater or some nonsense yet you'll still be perched on your soapbox, high above the rest of us and all the pollution you yourself spew. You global alarmists need only look at this thread for the reason(s) why you all fail at getting more people on your team. |
