Do you really think that some of Putin's team is sitting in Kremlin and trying to edit Wikipedia? Seriously?

Exactly. As I said above, there is few different modifications of Su-25 and that's about the service ceiling which is not the maximum one. There are many war experts on GFY who knows everything. Personally I have no idea which exactly max ceiling every existing modification of Su-25 has.

This is GFY :pimp

this started with no jets at all.. now there is jets, but they don't fly that high.. now they will fly that high, only briefly, and finally, there is different variants that have no problem flying that high.

i am not sure how customized these planes are.. do you have further info on that?

Nice work on this.

Trying to add:
I wonder how the specs on the k version vary from the specs on the specific version shown.

Either way, i am glad putin is de-escalating the situation. Yall need to wrap it up and return to peace in that region.

Indeed :2 cents: I just have some serious doubts regarding his power on the situation there. When Putin has asked these DNR guys to postpone with the referendum, they simple told him to go fuck himself. Just sayin'...

Except for the SU-25TM that was supposed to become SU-39 but was never built in large scale and only Russia has few of them none of the others SU-25 can fly higher then 7 000 meters due to some designs issues that will not discuss here.

Look at the builder website they even state their latest model which is the K will not go above 7 000 meters empty.. never mind with weapons.

you have mentioned you are a pilot.. oh, i believe 18 times now

what is the difference between a service ceiling and a maximum ceiling?

_Richard_ 07-24-2014 01:40 PM

oh! my mistake, 'absolute ceiling'.

btw, you said 'non other' can fly at 10m, but Su-25M1 has a service ceiling at 10m.. is this another plane with multiple designations?

I can say that I confused those two, but catching jet plane above you is not very easy if you have small rate of climb, as you would have above service ceiling (until it's finally 0). And the planes controllability weakens also.

interesting the coincidence of being told to remain at 32k feet, when that seems to be the max operating ceiling of for different versions of these jets

just a punk 07-25-2014 01:14 AM

The most important part of the article:

Quote:

He could not tell why there was an unauthorized missile launch. "This issue is SBU, which are about half nine in the evening took the battery commander with the crew," - said the source.
Now sum it up with Russian reports about outstanding activity of the Ukrainian SAM's in that area - 8 "Купол" system were active right at the same time when MH17 was shot down. And they were the first ones who reported that the plane was shot down with a BUK system. That's very interesting, isn't it?

This is why I'm still giving 50/50 to both: Ukrainian rebels and Ukrainian army (the masters of shooting at civilian planes during the exercises).

First is not called maximum ceiling itīs absolute ceiling.

Service ceiling is the altitude airplanes are designed to fly safely

Absolute ceiling is max altitude an airplane can fly check also coffin corner.

Check on the links what happen when any aircraft flies at their limit service ceiling just bellow absolute ceiling.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinnacl...es_Flight_3701

Any variant of SU-25 (except TM) will stall into a flat spin like a mofo at around 8 000 meters and due to itīs high wing design is not easy to recover.

Enough said do you know or at least have knowledge that Nato studies in deep each military equipment Russia has and the other way also applies.
