LOLZ. That will really thin out the herd as far as buying the first day. I buy a phone a year so I don't care, I'm never under the upgrade clause. Going to be interesting.

no doubt they keep focusing on getting thinner and thinner. My wife is constantly charging her iphone and my note just keeps chugging along.

I think deal now is the amount of the phone spread out on 24 month of payments. it will be interesting.

1. I applaud the ingenuity and creativity of the opportunistic hippies (and small businesses) in line who are making a quick buck by doing nothing but sitting around. (extra points for maximizing their income by promoting something else as well while sitting there). I'm pretty sure by their standards what they will be earning is considered pretty good for the amount of time they put in.

2. I applaud the people that are paying other people to wait in line to save their own time that is clearly more valuable than whatever they are paying. And in the case of people whose time isn't worth more -- as long as they can afford it, who cares? Live and let live.

3. Most companies WISH they had the trust, brand power and following that Apple has.

Any entrepreneur worth their salt will appreciate most of the above points about what's *really* happening here.

The bottom line: Consider and analyze the concept (and maybe even consider how you could use it in your businesses) instead of criticizing it without understanding it first.

I did in fact read the article. Good for them. But still people will be lining up to buy their phone, you watch.

Never do that. It is much less expensive to buy the phone outright and then just pay for the service.

While walking home, the two girls trip over what seems to be a dirty bum. It turns out to be **********, waiting in line in front of the Apple store for the release of another iphone 6 weeks later.

Had a 4 and currently have the 4S and 5S and even though I've heard those stories never broke or cracked a screen on either of the 3. I use a Holster Case though so hard for it to come loose. They were supposed to move to a Sapphire Crystal which would probably eliminate or decrease breakage.

About the battery life sucking: from what I have read there are rumors suggesting a significantly larger battery. One can only hope. I've personally not had issues but I guess it's just habitual at this point to charge it at night (iPhone 5 non S). Admittedly I probably don't use it as much as some people during the day/business hours.

Never owned an iphone and I certainly would never buy an Apple computer

Last week TK leaked out that the new iPhone could cost up to $1200 USD.
Well the latest leak out of Hong Kong seems to confirm just that. This is for the 4.7 inch model as the 5.5 inch model could cost much more.
How do you feel about an iPhone that could cost as a MacBook?

I own both samsung and Apple products. I enjoy Samsung because it's more versatile. A enjoy apple because it is reliable and yes, it's good quality and good looking hardware.

But I'd never line up to buy either brand. Why do people still do this?
