Random NFL news...

Giants crush Washington: Larry Donnell caught three of Eli Manning's four touchdown passes, and the New York Giants moved to .500 with a 45-14 victory over the Washington Redskins. Washington falls to 1-3 under new coach Jay Gruden.

Both these teams are so hot and cold lately it's impossible to predict if they'll show up with their A game or their basement of the outhouse game.

Ray Rice saga takes another turn: A law enforcement official says the video of Ray Rice punching his fiancée was sent to NFL headquarters to the attention of league security chief Jeffrey Miller. The NFL has repeatedly said no one with the league saw the violent images until TMZ Sports released the video earlier this month. Miller said through an NFL spokesman that he never received the video.

This is not going to end well for the league. Someone's going to get fired.

This week started with the Giants coming out of obscurity and utterly HAMMERING the
Redskins in the Thursday Nighter.
On Sunday there were more one-sided games (ie; slaughters), as Green Bay thumped
Chicago, Indy destroyed Tennessee, and Baltimore owned Carolina, as did Miami over
the Raiders.
Dallas humbled New Orleans, and the week came to a close with the Chiefs absolutely
shaming the Patriots in the Monday Nighter.

I don't think I've seen so many blowouts in the same week in fact.

In the pool however it was so not a blowout. We had yet another tie at the finish, and the next four players were only two points back in a four-way tie for third. It again came down to the MNF game score to decide the winner...

Last night's Monday Nighter capped off another great week in the NFL with Seattle getting a closer-than-expected win over the Redskins. The score was 27-17, and although Washington did have a couple of great looking TDs (Deshaun Jackson!) imagine what the score would have been had Percy Harvin's THREE TDs not been called back. It would have been the massive blowout we were all expecting.

The week of course started off with that blowout Green Bay inflicted on Minnesota. A couple of Sunday games were decided in overtime, and Denver soundly beat the previously-undefeated Cardinals.

Several of us in the pool got killed by point spreads this week. But one guy in the pool really stood out and had a step on those treacherous spreads. All of the top 9 or 10 finishers this week did well, however one in particular kicked some major ass...
