One of the all time greats. Was watching it today on cable --- it's been making the rounds on the movie channels for a couple of months, and I always stop to watch it when I'm channel surfing.

You're Next was awesome. You think it's another one of "those" movies, but then you realize it's much smarter than that.

Drag Me To Hell (2009) - LOL, that was the stupidiest horror I have ever seen, could not stop laughing really.. Stay away unless you like comedies :1orglaugh

The Exorcist (the original one from the 70's)

The Grudge (2004)

The Ring and Quarantine were pretty good too.

A movie that wasn't "scary" in the traditional sense but really stuck with me for days on end was Session 9. Slow build and a lot of tension. It has you expecting a jump or some gore, but instead, weaves its way under your skin. Not recommended for those with short attention spans or expecting balls to the wall action...

Agree about Session 9. The ending blew me away. It resonated w/ me for days after I saw it. Psychological horror.

Here's a horror recommendation.

Pulse (Kairo) 2001
a JHorror flick

It definitely has some good gags/scares. It was also directed by Sam Raimi. He adds lots of slapstick humor with his horror. Evil Dead II (1987) for example. :thumbsup

"A Tale of Two Sisters" is a great flick if you don't mind subtitles. :) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365376/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
