I hope this came off as I meant it. Sorry for the news and glad you can say you had a great life.

Wishing whatever outcome is ultimately best for you and yours.

Walk in peace.

PR_Glen 10-02-2014 06:11 AM

Really sorry to hear man, keep working on that second opinion angle. As much as you hate doctors i'm willing to bet you believe that some are a lot more competent than others. Wish you luck Amp.

how many people have you killed with your 'remedies'? I post about healing foods often, but I'm at least responsible enough to not go prancing around here pretending I have a cure...

Your body is designed to heal itself.

If you cut your hand ? it will heal automatically, unless you deliberately put dirt in it, or you keep picking it open, or if your immune system is severely suppressed by the way you have been eating and living resulting in some very serious illness that causes delayed healing.

If you smash your thumb with a hammer, it will eventually heal, unless you keep smashing the same thumb with a hammer - EVERY DAY!

The point is that your body WILL heal itself UNLESS you keep injuring it.

AdultKing 10-02-2014 06:32 AM

Amp dude, respect.

Tam 10-02-2014 06:54 AM

So sorry to hear this news, Amp - at one time you and I got along very well but we haven't spoken in many years - I won't be so trivial as to say if there's anything I can do, let me know - simply because I know I can't do anything to help this - but I will say if you ever need to talk or rant -= cry, laugh, any of the other communications skills - I'm always here for you. :)

L-Pink 10-02-2014 07:14 AM

Sorry to hear that ……...

MaDalton 10-02-2014 07:43 AM

take your nick name literally, freeze it and have it later implanted on some monkey body ;)

but good luck, you would not be the first one to beat that

SomeCreep 10-02-2014 07:46 AM

Every man dies. Not every man really lives.

DWB 10-02-2014 07:47 AM

None of us get out of here alive. May you go in peace and without pain.

Itchy 10-02-2014 08:17 AM

Sorry to hear :( it was good well it lasted !

Tofu 10-02-2014 08:29 AM

Damn, bruh. Sorry to hear that.

We had some fun here, in the early days and your handle is mentioned in a rap song or two (shout out YT Cracker). Sucks to see you 'departing' from the board though.

I'll miss your crazy ass!

Tom_PM 10-02-2014 08:32 AM

Sorry to hear about it, hopefully some treatment can kick it's ass for a little while longer.

Va2k 10-02-2014 08:32 AM

OMFG dude, I am so sorry to hear this. It was awesome meeting you in 2002 dude I sure will never forget you boss.

Tom aka Va2k.

VikingMan 10-02-2014 08:37 AM

Hey AMP don't give up. Google Donald Factor. He is the son of Max Factor so he is not some nerd on GFY. I would say a guy like that would have some connections and enough money to pursue any treatment. He beat liver cancer and I guess it was "infused" in his spine as he says. Also not sure what your financial situation is but perhaps someone more respectable and well liked than me could start a donation thread if you are in need. I can chip in a little. Regardless I wish you the best.

CDSmith 10-02-2014 08:37 AM

For those of you who don't know Amp he was the guy who instigated the first and only GFY design contest back in 02, or was it ought-three? I fergit.

Amp, did you make the 1 millionth post here? I fergit that too. :D

Seriously, how do you define a guy like Amp, his career, his antics, his work in a few short sentences? He's one of the most loved, hated, and misunderstood entities to ever grace this board or this business.

We had some good times. It's been a pleasure to virtually know you. If I could get one more late night drunken "I love you man" out of you I could die happy.

Fucking cancer.

Just wanted to come back and say aloha to the few friends I managed to make here.

See you on the next go-round!

Oh you have had pancreatic cancer and have overcame it with these simple things? Wow, I'd be impressed to see your medical degree... Also meet some of these patients you've helped heal.

Shut the fuck up with that bullshit.

RIP in peace Amp, you'll be missed.

hello, basically when you have this kind of cancer you die from denutrition, so if they try to cure you, ask them a dietetic help to prevent weight loss.
Also don't forget that YOU HAVE to eat to live even if you don't have the lust for it. (small amounts every 2 hours is better than a meal every 8 hours)

good luck.

NaughtyRob 10-02-2014 09:23 AM

Will you convert the donations to bitcoins so he can buy drugs on silk road? Low doses of MDMA are supposed to help people cope with late stage cancer.

What stage is it AMP? Surgical removal is possible in the early stages. Good luck buddy. Don't let it beat you.

newB 10-02-2014 10:02 AM

First, I'm truly sorry to hear of your diagnosis.

Second, it's good that you have regular checkups and that is how it was found - pancreatic cancer is typically very fast. If caught early enough, you have treatment options to be explored, but don't dawdle.

Third, I know a guy who had melanoma and was told he only had something like 6 weeks. He got on a clinical trial and that was something like 15 years ago. My point being that although things might look bleak now, that isn't reason enough to just give up.

I sincerely hope you are able to beat this.

My sentiments as well AMP... I don't have to always agree with a Man to respect him and his life...

My hope is your Dr. SUCKS and is somehow wrong!

Good Words newB! :thumbsup

Words to live by, my motto anyway.

Good luck buddy; hope it is smooth for you.

CarlosTheGaucho 10-02-2014 11:46 AM

Damn - wishing the best. I know first hand how devastating cancer can be.

Use your strength, try to beat it, in any case do whatever it takes to enjoy every single day left (we all should).

You've had a great run, if you wanted to share your story (-ies), I am sure I'm not the only one who would like to hear it.

digitaldivas 10-02-2014 11:53 AM

Best of wishes to you!

Poppy 10-02-2014 12:04 PM

Wishing you all the best and positive thoughts Amp.

CaptainHowdy 10-02-2014 12:04 PM

Prepare yourself. Stay strong.

Vendzilla 10-02-2014 12:09 PM

Amp, place won't be the same without you.

Don't go down with out a fight, my mother beat cancer twice.

You have the knowledge of the interwebs, do the research!

mineistaken 10-02-2014 02:41 PM

Sorry to hear that. Who will harshly school liberal confused hipsters now?

gabe100 10-02-2014 02:47 PM

I had a good run of things. No regrets.

And that's what counts.

You did things your way and if it's your time, you lived a life better than most.

Hope the best for you AMP.

LeRoy 10-02-2014 02:51 PM

Take care Amp! See you on the other side :)

Hey AMp,

remember this guy? After years of hiatus, just came back to re-register after Theo told me the terrible news. Despite all the pissing we've done over the years, I always considered you a 'friend'.

I am saddened by the news, cancer fucking blows. I sincerely wish you the best and hope that you stay strong through the end.

Take care,
Vlad
