I don't know if i'd go as far as saying they should be outlawed entirely, but having people take some psyche test clearances before being able to purchase could be an easy way to save some lives down the line, don't you think? |

Here's the thing: I used to think you were an OK guy until you showed your complete lack of empathy towards animals. Now, I just think you're barely worth any attention at all. |

i couldn't give a crud if you think i'm an ok guy, wtfever that means. ok guy, lolz. :1orglaugh. and speaking of misquoting, you've been reduced to misrepresenting me, clinging to some bizarre comments about a lack of empathy because I put some birds dying in perspective. hug a tree ********** and lighten up, look, i didn't realize you take gfy so seriously. I'll go easier on you. :winkwink: |

Wrong. He picked that theater because it was closest to where he lived and he was familiar with the layout. As you can see from the map below it was a few blocks away. Nice try pushing your bullshit agenda. https://www.google.com/maps/vt/data=...&w=555&scale=1 |

But I can guarantee you that handgun killings are still 99% of murders committed in the USA. "Assault Rifles" are a boogie-man. As I said earlier...they make for great ratings on the news when some asshole uses one in a mass shooting. Reality is...the same guys COULD just walk in with 3 or 4 pistols in their pockets and do the same thing. But it's not as scary as using a non-existent weapon with a "cool" name. (I'm pretty sure that the word "Assault Rifle" is a made up term by the media...not sure that any gun is actually labeled an "assault rifle" or even referred to in that way be people who actually own guns) When that horrible Sandy Hook shooting took place...I could almost see the network execs toasting each other in the boardroom of CNN. And guys like Anderson Cooper (whom I like) just stayed there FOREVER. Endlessly interviewing every person who lived in that town. Over and over and over. And then...when the ratings numbers started dropping...it was time to move on. Made me think of that song by Don Henley about the "news" media: "Dirty Laundry" The lyrics to that song pretty much hit it on the head. And of course, no matter what side of any "issue" people are on...IF the media ratings grab "story" fits that agenda...then those people in the general public cling to it and the story has "legs" and the ratings circle is complete. |

Ok, sorry, sorry. My whole entire point was that, from a non-American, the entire republican system and right wing media seemed very extreme in their views to me. For example, and again, just my opinion & view, they SEEM to be anti women rights, anti gay rights, anti alternative energy, any equal pay rights, etc etc. Each of these brings problems which are made only worse by people like Rush Limbaugh and others. I bring them up because they are interesting, and enjoy talking about it and learning the points of view. But anyway, fine, point taken. I apologize if I've hurt anyones feelings, and promise to keep my political opinions to myself from now on unless someone asks. I promise though, to keep reading yours and everyone else. Peace? Hug? |
