14 day affiliate cookie for the win.

AWE got caught early on deceiving webmasters by only paying on 14 days of revshare, when affiliates thought they were getting lifetime revshare. He's the guy who stated he thought affiliates didn't do much and didn't deserve anything more than 14 days of revshare. At least they responded to the backlash and slowly adapted into a lifetime revshare model using white labels. |
I remember they where the first cam site to let any guest start chatting with models right away without any sign up or login. Passed most other cam sites for traffic like they where standing still.

I am proud to be Hungarian :thumbsup

They changed that a long time ago, which is a shame was easier to make money with the 14 days than getting lifetime members. |

Still remember they used loli traffic sources, and even when they claimed it never happened, you could load one of their DNSservers default website, and find just that.
+ they put millions of $ in to the pocket of warez/illegal site-owners, but their bro-ness is infinet, so what does it matter :) |
Lots of money in cams.

I still remind me how they crashed the affiliate program, started to shave the old group of webmasters, changing terms and rules, closed forum so no gathering was possible between existing webmasters, then Mickey really pulled some stunts and made sure that we got screwed in our asses big time. Yeah I know where the profit comes from, hope you slap yourself on the chest, probably when they started you where still handing out flyers at the subway. While we did send traffic to a shitty Livejasmin with five cams and a worthless design.
Stop the ego trip, and stop being proud on a system that is established by webmaster and then dumped them like a titanic. Want me to dig a little deeper? I am predicting this thread becomes a train wreck. Oohh wait, it already is. |

I was actually thinking earlier today that unless you happen to be super lucky and come up with a great idea that just carries you along, to become truly "successful", you really need to be a sociopath.

Thats like attacking mcdonalds and trying to force them to sell a hamburger for 15.00 for whatever reason when that clearly that only benefits competitors and doesn't solve the core problem. You seem to enjoy telling yourself that ad networks are just greedy, affiliate programs are just greedy etc etc etc. No matter what you tell yourself, that doesn't change the fact that they are all competing with each other and one company suddenly performing to your unrealistic ethical standards and blocking every site you believe they should is just going to make their competition stronger and them weaker. Use your head and just go after bad sites and stop blaming people for their ads being on those sites. |

The problem is piracy sites. The piracy sites. Not how they monetize traffic. The traffic will always be monetized. I could sit down and come up with 400 ways to monetize a sites traffic in a matter of minutes. Furthermore, there are endless ways to monetize torrent traffic itself which will fly under the radar anyway. Playing whack-a-mole with advertisers is anyway and an obvious waste of time and resources. It is the site itself, which is the problem. And when the site itself is shut down, the problem goes away. The only real solution is to go after the sites. If the sites are "illegal" as claimed, then it shouldn't be an issue to shut them down. |

In the end, unless there is a law which will put an end to such practices, not much can be done. |
