Update: down 16 lbs and maintained it through the holidays. I still avoid carbs but not fanatically. It has pretty much been easy and painless for the most part.

If you feel like you're starving yourself then your losing the wrong kind of weight....muscle. Eat at (or a little below) your maintenance level and focus on building muscle. The fat will take care of itself.
When you lose weight on a severe calorie restriction, you're training your system to be a fat storage depot. Put on muscle and you'll be a fat burning machine. |
