Nothing you posted showed any stats.

The stats you're asking me for can be found from the NSSF. Feel free to look them up yourself.

LOL me too. Especially when my initial posts more or less states that the thread is just me trolling. :winkwink:

And gun sales set new records almost every single year.

Gun ownership isn't down. Based on things like distrust for the media and personal privacy, people are less likely to honestly answer questions about gun ownership. This is why "surveys" are useless.

Comparing background checks to gun ownership is like comparing apples to flat chested women. Background checks aren't only for firearm ownership, but also explosives. It even says so on the website you just linked:

The mission of the NICS Section is to enhance national security and public safety by providing the timely and accurate determination of a person’s eligibility to possess firearms and/or explosives in accordance with federal law.

Then you would have to factor in the amount of people who were denied, and the amount of people who passed a background check who never bought a firearm or bought a firearm and then sold it (or had it taken away).

This falls under the category of "things that were covered in the initial article posted in this thread."

Got anything new, factual and relevant to add? I didn't think so....

I call bullshit and challenge you to post proof.

Show me the tax stamp for a single "Assault Rifle" you own.

Since I'm pretty sure you won't be able to post such proof, I'll gladly contact the ATF and notify them that you've publicly stated you own such items.

Until you provide proof of your tax stamps, I'll consider you a liar and/or a person in criminal possession of NFA restricted firearms.

I've asked you about your multiple assault rifles in the state of California before, you must have missed that, I'll ask again, how is it you say you are a law-abiding citizen therefor you don't worry about the police, yet have multiple assault rifles in CA, which is a monster felony?

not trolling, very interested.

I posted... a graph that compared forty years of data from two sources that showed a downward trend of gun ownership....

Then:

The New York Times > Page Not Found
Analysis: Fewer U.S. gun owners own more guns - CNN.com
A minority of Americans own guns, but just how many is unclear | Pew Research Center

How many stats do you need?

I am not pulling any data from NSSF or the NRA, because organizations that profit from gun ownership will always be suspect.

No need to post things that are common sense. Even if I cared to post them, you've just stated that statistics provided by the NSSF mean nothing to you....Just like the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Lets get back to your claims to own "assault rifles" you fucking hypocritical traitor.

ah another idiotic thread making americans look retarded

iSpyCams 11-19-2014 01:10 PM

Heres some stats for ya:

I own 5 guns and have been shot zero times. My goal is to not get shot ever and so far my strategy is working well.

I think it's obvious that each person should own 5 guns for each time they DON'T want to get shot.

So like, if you don't want to get shot once, you need 5 guns. If you don't want to get shot twice, get 10, etc.

It's simple and the stats support it.

Amen!

And with that....I've got an appointment to get to.

Roctard, I'll check back on this thread to verify those tax stamps just in case you're not lying. For all I know your "assault rifles" are registered to a trust and kept out of the state of CA....Although I personally believe you're full of shit I'll still give you a bit of time to prove me wrong before I report you to the ATF.

dyna mo 11-19-2014 01:20 PM

here's the thing, gun hater Canadians-

1. USA cannot put the gun genie back in the bottle, please see what happened when we tried that with liqour.

2. this country was built on guns, tobacco, and liquor, you cannot change that history, instead, accept it and move on

3. guns are intrinsically linked to our fundamental rights, as you know.

4. reality.

You're such a stereotype, it's hilarious. Overweight American who is gun crazy with a Neckbeard.

I can see why you need guns though.. Since you're a coward and can't stand up for yourself without them... Like that time you told me you were coming to vancouver to meet me and then didn't...

Also.. Speaking of guns and violent crime... Remember that time you brought a gun to a convention? Hahahaha you're so awkward

P.s. Pick a role... You can't pretend to be the internet gangster guy and then also threaten to call the ATF on Rochard...

Well SOMEONE is buying all the fucking ammo around my place - and I know who it is, but I'll take the 5th on that one - ok, it's all the paranoid freaky fucking rednecks that wear foil hats and think Jesus is coming back or someone is going to get them in their sleep or some other conspiracy that whoever says they need and they feed on it like it's last night's steak... but regardless they are buying up the 22 ammo that comes in before it gets to the shelves.

I know this one because I got a 22 Revolver last year for Christmas and I have no foil hat or anyone I want to shoot or even a fast need for defense, like a 22 would even do much of that - and I can't shoot it because there hasn't been ONE box of 22 ammo on the fucking shelves since the day I got it!! :disgust

I am not about to get into the stats or anything - I am just really pissy about not being able to shoot my fucking gun - lol

SongRider 11-19-2014 02:58 PM

Maybe crime is down because NO ONE can find ammo for ALL these new guns being sold.

The only folks around me that have ammo are paranoid rednecks Hoarding Bullets,Canned food and hate like Gollum grasping his precious ring...

They are waiting for FOX news to tell them when and who will be invading... So far the only confirmed info they got is they will not be white guys like our founding Fathers and Jesus was/is... :helpme:thumbsup

Part of this comment is true... Part might be true... and for the rest... I dont care... Just having fun...

fuzebox 11-19-2014 03:03 PM

Comparing crime statistics to gun ownership can be skewed... I know if I lived in a higher crime area, I sure as shit would buy a gun :thumbsup

Who commits crimes with legally purchased weapons anyway?

Poor Tam. :(

Hit me up and I'll send you some .22 ammo. It's a crime that you haven't been able to shoot your new gun.

I'm serious here, PM me your shipping addy.

Where did Roctard go? He must be pulling a Mr. Maxwell move and asking friends for pics of their tax stamps. :winkwink:

Without the right to protect yourself, you're not free. We need much more sensible gun laws in Canada - which will never happen.

Aww, you are so sweet - I had a 38 Special and I hated how loud it was, I don't want a gun to go kill nothing or no one - just to know I have it if I need it or to just have that comfort - plus I like to shoot - lol

My husband found 2 small boxes on Facebook or somewhere from some private guy but paid thru his nose for it at the time. We go to the stores and keep an eye on them and seriously, all the clerks say it is gone before they can get it on the shelves - THAT should be a damn crime. lol

Old people own guns and they are dying off. Check the stats. The genie is dying, so soon we might be a decent society like the rest of the developed world.

same with liquor during prohibition times. old people died off but liquor was left, trouble and chaos ensued. organized crime was actually created in reaction to prohibition. the Income Tax was created as a result of prohibition. that's just the tip of the iceberg.

it would be even worse with gun prohibition.

Here is a pretty interesting article by the Wall Street Journal about the reduction in crime. Violent crime is at a 40 year low. They explore many reasons as to why this might be. Among the suggested reasons are:

1. All the criminals are already in jail. Our incarceration rate in this country is at its all time high. These people can't be committing crimes if they are behind bars.

2. People have gotten better at protecting themselves with alarms, lighting, better locks etc. I suppose you could add owning guns to this one.

3. Police have become more efficient. Many cities are focusing on policing problem areas more intensely and that is helping reduce crime.

4. Medical reasons. Doctors have shown that children with a lot of lead in their system are more likely to be aggressive and violent. EPA standards have helped to lower the average amount of lead in American's blood by four-fifths since 1975.

5. Decreasing crack and cocaine use. Between 1992 and 2009 crack use fell by 66%. In that same time frame the average number of 12th graders who had tried cocaine fell from 9.8% to 5.5%.

The reality is likely that no one of these things has caused the decrease. There could also be other factors at play. I would think all of these factors play a role in it and it is many different things all coming together to lower a crime rate.

MrGusMuller 11-19-2014 07:31 PM

6. Too much free porn. Criminals stay more time at home watching porn tubes.

Too loud huh? That's why God created suppressors and subsonic ammunition. :)

Take note Roctard, the paperwork in this photo includes an NFA tax stamp which is required by law for you to own an "Assault Rifle". I'm still waiting for you to produce proof of yours....

It always looks worse when you capture it on film, especially hi-def... rotfl

I just want something to toy with, like I said, not to scare myself to death - I can shoot those and have - and pretty damn good I might say so myself - I just am not about trying to hurt anyone - but scare the shit out of them - my little revolver looks pretty damn intimidating -

UNLESS you are a pitbull - 22s are NOT good for that kind of defense. lmao
