There was a time when my ancestors owned half of downtown Manhatten - much of their land holdings were lost due to appropriation during the Empire Loyalist migration north to Canada. We don't expect apologies for the lost land...nor do we continue to pursue something that is ancient history. We've moved on - worked hard for our living...re-established ourselves and helped settle a new country. Life's too short to go around constantly looking for scapegoats and apologists.

The segment of black culture which we are talking about celebrates ignorance and puts it on a pedestal and strives to emulate it at every turn.

I agree with you to some extent as to the idea of racism and that its even being talked about in this day and age. However, its a simple fact of your own neurology that you strongly prefer and favor like people and shy away from different people. It's one of a great many evolutionary adaptations that are hardwired into us for an increased probability of survival and furtherance of ones genes.

There is a BIG difference when science uses brain scans and other testing to test unconscious bias between those who can accept they are biased and those that aren't and that is simply those that claim they aren't, are quicker to recite a socially acceptable answer, but the brain scan and tests reveal the same basic bias as those who'd openly admit to being biased or even racist. Blacks score almost the exact same when tested for bias against blacks as whites do. Thats just an unhappy fact of who and what we are. So i wouldn't get too excited about the world becoming a peace loving Utopia anytime soon. There will still be tribal behaviors. Whites will still prefer whites. Chinese will still prefer Chinese. Vietnamese will still prefer Vietnamese. People will still prefer those that look the same as them, act similar, dress similar and share similar values. And.. They're still be psychopaths and sociopaths and histrionic personalities inciting others and capitalizing on basic human traits to ignite hatred and fan the flames, just as all of the backwards and misguided jackoffs are doing right now in Ferguson.
