I hear you and I totally agree, back to basics - the first 3 episodes ever made will always outclass the 3 new ones in every way atleast in my opinion.

We want the spirit and old feel of star wars back, enough with all the special effect.

JJ thinks flying really close to the ground looks cool! The saber with the cross guards looks silly and more dangerous to the user than useful. The rolling droid reminds me of the cutesy stuff everyone hated in the prequels and remakes. Cute girl.

Wow so much negativism in one post i feel im on my way of getting depressed.

Yes it is cool flying close to the ground and If I were a fighter pilot I would do the same.

The saber obviously fits a sith lord, why ? They practice the dark magic of the force. No way he will accidently cut himself, otherwise he's not a sith lord.

Get out in the weekend and have some fun, go see a girl or something.

Everyone is saying that its a fake, but you definitely see things that are in the movie. Rogue editor? lol

Just Dave

I think some of the added footage was taken from videos that were in some of the Star Wars video games, some of them look like that kind of quality.

Anyone else used to play the original X-Wing game back in the day I wasted many hours on that thing. I even had the strategy guide that was actually kind of a novel with a story line that took you through the game. I was so dedicated to the game that I made my girlfriend wait until I finished one of my missions and she then broke up with me.

I think they don't want to give out too much of the action. I hope they will do a new trailer 6 months before, that would be cool.

I thought the new lightsaber was cool, i suspect that it comes in handy when fighting and they lock swords, i bet with a flick of the wrist people lose their saber or hand or arm.

Numbers could be higher on Star Wars line since it's decades old but post enjoyment level surely to be higher on iPhone unboxing. :1orglaugh

Most movies are released internationally a day or two early, hopefully this one will be too. Worst case, due to the time zone, we'll get in 12 hours or so before you guys do in the USA. No waiting in line needed. :thumbsup

But I will admit, I used to wait in line when I lived Stateside.

Another good example how producers ruined a show is the new V series. The old one was epic and I still enjoy watching some of the episodes. The newly produced from 2009 was as exciting as getting an enema. No spirit, no mystery and bad acting.

Old

V (TV Series 1984?1985) - IMDb

New - don't deserve a 6,9 imdb rating

V (TV Series 2009?2011) - IMDb

Anyone one remember the old show and watched the new one ?

The lightsaber is problematic because the side emitters stick out too far. If another lightsaber balde slid down the first one, it would end up cutting off the emitters, rather than being blocked by the secondary energy blades.

Yeah, because Abrams really made sense in his Star Trek reboot.

yeah. the lightsaber is also problematic because light cannot really come out of a saber & cut things.

anyway.

funny that everyone thinks the movie will be good, the trailer was nothing but visuals, just like the 3 last duds. Watch 10 minutes of disney channel to see how disney does with substance. So its totally up in the air whether the script of the new series will be compelling.

at least we know the characters will all be pretty & politically correct. Obviously there will also be large subliminal phallus, like all disney flicks.

:)
