mediocre!

fucking wow.

J.Falcon, it may be worth giving the movie a 2nd shot. i agree the dialogue is minimal, most of Max's lines are grunts even. but this movie is visually told. like a comic book. but not silly like superhero comic books and especially how those are translated into movies. this is more like an adult comic book, visually story telling for us. the depth of the imagery is staggering. the details throughout the film are really profound. i noticed they actually include a ringing in the ears sound after hand gun shots, just like irl. and that rings true for the visual work in this movie. it has just oodles and oodles of attention to details to help tell the story.

give it another whirl man!

i *kinda* liked it. for a couple reasons, first, the guitar. obviously.

2nd was it seemed to me to be the only 3d in your face scene in the entire movie, so i was appreciative of the only 1 scene like that. i did think there were more egregious weak spots, mostly in the story, nux's metamorphosis for instance. but they make up for that elsewhere, for instance, furiouso's woman character was well done. realistically she would never win a fight or win this epic battle with joe, that's why she only had one arm, to make sure we knew that. that's why she instantly tried to shoot max with the shottie the second she got her hand on it. and the best part about that is she knew it too.

it's a 2 hour fantastic visually told car chase for adults.

But Max knew she was a better shot with the rifle.

I love the scene when they start respecting each other and handing off weapons during the first canyon scene.

i was actually referring to the part where furiouso tried to kill max with the shotgun but it misfired.
