When my grandparents were in their mid-70's they would describe themselves as 'young' when discussing people in their 80's who they were going to help out, then they would often add at they end, "but we must seem old to you". They seemed to have to remind themselves that they were old, but they clearly didn't feel it

Right! Music is where it's the most obvious, for me. I can not listen to commercial radio and say, "Oh, that's the new single from _____." (Ke$ha, Iggy, Taylor, whoever) I can not tell the difference in their voices or their producers' sound. Completely indistinguishable.

And if I throw a reference to Annie Lennox, Pete Burns, Dave Gilmour, even David Bowie, or anyone else I find interesting for one reason or another, I get the retarded cocker Spaniel look. It's like we're from different countries.

I notice those bdays everyday and was thinking the same thing. We are all aging :( I was 23 when I started in this business. Everyone seems so young back then.

I started when i was 20/21 year old,tho i know it for porn biz while i was 16,i just didn't quite understood how pornbiz worked then.But i think this biz now don't have much room anymore for young folks as it is way way harder to make money then before.In shortly,you need to have skills and experience to make it.

Two other co-workers along with myself all turned 50 last August.

Back in the 80s I worked with a chick who was born the exact same day/month/year as me. I wondered at the time how often that happens.

My parents were born on the same day in 1937.
My mother's parents were born on the same day...not sure the year.
In case you're wondering...I was born the same day as Elle MacPherson so...

I wonder what the odds are on that happening.

While reading this thread I actually forgot how old I was. My birthday is in January and I was born in 1981 ...so I think I'll be 21 in just a couple weeks!! :)
