OK, so that post on the antipiracy forum by NukePiracy really turned the tables for me.

I was laughing out loud throughout this thread, even better than the original 'assault' thread against AK, but when Johnny posted their bullshit on the last page, at least for me, really showed their true colors.

Coming after the "GFY-Bro" club & "it's" users (I've been here since 2001 actually) is quite comical since their original thread was posted with such a serious tone against AK. The screencap a few posts back is totally childish, and everyone who was privy to their original thread I think would agree. The 'staff' at Nuke got off to an interesting start in the original (now deleted) thread, with some good points, mind you, but then of course, it all took a hard left, and crashed into a cul-de-sac with flames, bodies, explosions and shit.

To go posting on the other forum the way they did is just going to make the stove a bit hotter I think. Many more blisters..

I really don't want to engage with these idiots however even as far back as when they joined it was pretty obvious what their agenda was.

Simply put, I just don't get these guys. One theory someone canvassed internally was that their plan was to get as close to the SFL project as possible and then do a double cross in order to be re-accepted into the warez/piracy scene on WJunction from where they were both banned. However we'll never really know their true motives or why they're so persistent and angry.

From my perspective they've never shown themselves to be anti piracy at all, merely anti Stop File Lockers. I don't get it, however now they are threatening to DOX many members of GFY, which is exactly the kind of thing hackers do to each other, it's pretty childish stuff.

Someone posted a link to the AVN interview I did in 2012 which should answer most people's questions. If it doesn't then all of this rehashed nonsense has been addressed time and time again in the Killing off File Lockers thread.

Out of the Stop File Lockers project both Copy Control and more importantly Adult IP were formed. Adult IP is a representative body for rights holders and other stake holders in the copyright protection and mitigation field. We have large adult producers, DMCA agents and so on as members and they are the people that I answer to, not the trolls on GFY.

The Killing off File Lockers thread has been a place where I have reported progress on that singular project which is one of many projects Adult IP is now running, I'll keep posting updates as appropriate and anyone who wants to get involved further is welcome to become a member of Adult IP and participate in the confidential aspects of the work we do.

The guys who were recently banned were asking questions about what, who and where we shut down sites and unfortunately for them we just don't disclose that stuff - for a simple reason. If I post that we shut down site AAAAAA.COM and the owners of AAAAAA.COM work backward through what happened to them, then someone may reverse engineer what we actually do and then loose canons like NukePiracy or WDF may use that against the project and in doing so reduce the potential for our strategies to keep working.

Think of the Killing off File Lockers thread as a brief overview of what's going on with that project, don't think of it as a comprehensive run down of our activities.

The so called piracy forum is a brand new affiliate forum which hasn't been launched yet. It's open for affiliates of pay sites to join and post threads with their affiliate links. So your sites are/were basically honeypots to gather intelligence and evidence. Sting operations are always a tricky issue to defend, so I understand the initial confusion.

Good luck with your collection of paper trail. Hopefully this will some day lead into an effective "Stop the tubes" campaign. Although that is a very tough cookie as MindGeek is already quite powerful in our industry.

No they weren't honeypots. The term "honeypot" is what WDF & Nukepiracy labeled them as.

All they were was a set of eight standard everyday tube aggregation sites using tube affiliate programs. Many people on this forum run as few as one to as many as hundreds of the things.

All we were doing was running eight of these sites using different affiliate programs and tallying up what was pirated and what wasn't while creating a paper trail of the affiliate connection between our sites and the tube operators. This was in order to demonstrate that the tube operators don't just supply licensed content to affiliates but also pirated content.

Correct, however the sites were not honeypots, they were normal garden variety tube affiliate sites with content delivered by the tube affiliate program and embedded on the source tube.

If you want to ban me for running eight tube affiliate sites then you'll also want to ban a good proportion of GFY members, many people run these tube affiliate sites. They are common practice.

Many tubes license a great deal of content and many also cut deals with content producers. It is possible for tubes to only deliver licensed and authorised material to affiliates and this is a situation we wanted to work to bring about.

Actually the sites themselves received no DMCA notices. The DMCA notice issued was issued to Google to remove a few pages from Google search. Had we received a DMCA notice directly we would have taken down the content and then contacted the rights holder to explain what we were doing.

Summary

We have no wish to stop the tubes from running affiliate programs, all we want is for the tubes to stop supplying unauthorised content to affiliates. Some pretty big companies, some who advertise on this forum. What we do want to see is them only supplying affiliates with licensed content or authorised content. We'd also like sites like XVideos to start playing ball because it's one of the worst tubes when it comes to piracy.

For the first 18 months of running the Stop File Lockers project people complained we weren't dealing with the tube situation. Now that were are trying to deal with the tube situation by collecting reliable and usable data we're the bad guys for doing that also.

Tubes won't go away, but with enough pressure the pirated content can be reduced and it can be eliminated entirely from tube affiliate sites, this would be a great first step.
