Selma is nominated as best movie, crying racism because the director or main actor aren't won't get anyone anywhere

when next year a black director/actor gets nominated people will be asking whether it was only because Al Sharpton got angry enough and any black winner will always live in doubt if he/she really deserved it based on their skills or if it was a concession

Your use of "entitled" when it's just about some people thinking it was unfair is what I'm looking at.

This movie is about blacks over coming their oppression by the entitled; but yet they are seen as being entitled by you.

I guess those blacks marching in Selma must have felt entitled; and that is eating at the film academy the same way it's eating at you as you vote your rejection and sling the "entitlement slur".

You might HATE it but it is the reality of things. Melting Pot assumes all groups assimilate and merge with one another. Worldwide, and not just behind the "Orange Curtain" but people do not mix well. Remember the old saying "if you want to work somewhere dress like they do for the interview." (Maybe its an east coast thing, I don't know.) People congregate with similar people.

Europe is proving, UK is proving that multiculturalism as a whole is a failure. Its not human nature. Its capitalism's dream but not humans. If you check demographic stats you will see most/many US neighborhoods are segregating all on their own.

Its not a race thing necessarily...it is a values thing.

Most of the actors under 30 SUCK in Hollywood. I'm surprised they can still manage to scrape together an Oscars or Golden Globes at all.
