It's easy to tell by the way you jump in all the threads with your anti-american bullshit. Your country had a fucked up government and got a few hundred bombs dropped on it. It was 16 years ago, maybe you should move on.

As in gather up some of the left over shrapnel to build a bridge and get over it?

Go back to the American Revolution and 'The Patriot' if you want face-to-face warfare.

The "Kentucky Rifle" was the original sniper gun powder firearm and used extensively by in essence the original "snipers" in that conflict.

But at the same time much of the war was fought face-to-face, muzzle-to-muzzle on the open battlefield.

There is a lot of awesome history there... the Scots-Irish hicks really tore the other side up with their rifles and tactics and were among the first to use true guerrilla tactics in that era.

No doubt but just saying as a historical footnote that warfare changed dramatically as a result of the rifle in combination with guerrilla style tactics. In a sense, "The Patriot" draws some of its quasi historical references from that rifle regiment.

What a dick, first off ASSHOLE, it's not the troops that pick where they go, it's the government that sends them there.

My daughter earned 2 humanitarian medals for providing aid to the Philippines while serving on the biggest air craft carrier on the planet , USS Ronald Reagan

Snipers protect more than what you think they do.

german soldiers during ww2 were just following orders as well, one could argue that there were germans who did not take part in the concentration camps and for the most part, were "just following orders"...they "killed when they had to" and did it "for ""safety"" of the motherland" or whatever...a valid point from the perspective of the one doing the attacking who followed the rules of war...

but when you are on the receiving side of the invasion, you in fact see the troops as exactly where they want to be, military service in the USA is not mandatory and the career they picked is widely known for invading other countries left and right...just like alquaida is well known for blowing stuff up...

your daughter may well have good intentions, but in reality, she is on the biggest machine of terror in the world, it does not dispense medicine and "aid" it dispenses bombs...if government x does not agree with what the USA says, the USA will bomb civilians of country x until they make leader of country x comply...but at the same time everybody is charlie in the west and will not be told what to draw by others let alone what government to overthrow :1orglaugh...you get the abysmal irony in the astronomical rift that is in the US double standard...

the US mental set in a nutshell: a pressure cooker in boston is WMD and terrorism but the worlds largest mobile dispenser of bombers and cruise missiles and death and destruction in the name of politics, is somehow, not terrorism :1orglaugh

you said snipers "protect"...so country y invades country x...citizens of country x get force drafted...nobody asked the citizens of country x if they want to fight, country y left them with a choice of overthrowing their own government because politicians of country y said so OR they fight because government x say so...and now force drafted civilian x is now "fair game" for sniper y? :1orglaugh

seriously dude...

no really...

Who the FUCK said war was a good thing?

Please enlighten me, because I sure as shit didn't.

When you join the military, you take an oath. You follow orders. In the UCMJ, there is text that protects a soldier from prosecution for not following orders that the soldier deems immoral, the Officer giving that order can be charged with an Article 133.

So blow it out your ass shit head, trying to compare what the germans did with our military just because you have a hair up your ass

and the german soldiers had the same code/oath and you had UCMJ and they had some other crappy abbreviation and would be charged with article XXX ...alquaida has an "oath" as well and probably some abbreviation too and article xyz...having a code or abbreviations and articles does not justify terrorism :thumbsup

oh and the USA has dropped more bombs than hitler since WW2 so I am not trying to compare you to germany during WW2, when you actually outdid them :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Those Nazi soldiers were harming UNARMED CIVILIANS.

TCLGirls 01-29-2015 12:19 AM

To be fair, US soldiers have committed atrocities as well (soldiers gang-raping a 14yo girl and then killing entire family):
Mahmudiyah killings - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But from everything I have seen, such incidents are criminally prosecuted by the US to punish those soldiers.

Alex21 01-29-2015 01:45 AM

Didn't Travis Haley kill several hundred Mahdi army miliamen in one afternoon in Najaf from a rooftop back in '05?

Although that was probably more akin to shooting fish in a barrell since most had AK47's

Also he was Blackwater (former Marine Recon)

and the USA cluster bombs civilians...delayed clusters in 100% civilian areas...we had to hide behind metal dumpsters to remove firemen who went in to put out a fire on an embassy you bombed in a 100% civilian area with no military around for like 30 miles...

cluster bombing civilians is in direct violation of the geneva convention...so is invading other countries...when russia attacked ukraine the USA was the first to bitch about international law being broken...oh the humour of the situation when the worlds #1 aggressor and war monger and terrorist accuses anybody of breaking international law :1orglaugh

dude you guys are like north koreans...the brain wash is so strong in your country that you truly see nothing at all wrong with 100.000-s of bombs dropped in the name of your corrupt government, you honestly feel you have the right to tell the other 95% of the human race how to live because you invested in terrorism instead of education and health care and now you are "progressive and democratic" :1orglaugh

if it was not for russia and china the entire planet would be under blackwater US crap like iraq is...we have not forgotten what you did with the native americans and we do not expect anything else from you other than more bombs and invasion...it is in your culture to be thugs and slave traders and invaders and you proudly celebrate it as a nation...

man you can not even get the average american to comment on the 100.000s of bombs but you will see him bitch about a pressure cooker in boston :1orglaugh

One of the reasons the US army was so late to adapt the machine gun, assault rifle, etc. And why we got destroyed in Vietnam initially.

This is going to sound stupid as hell but what country were you in? The US has a pretty violent history. I totally agree that we leave our borders with military intent way to often. I would just like to read what our reason was if we had one.

klinton 01-29-2015 05:31 AM

it's the Nazi propaganda movie...looks like ideal copy of such movies about brave german soldiers in 1940s :1orglaugh

but i doubt that some people know history enough to understand it :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
