Pretty sad that this isn't that big of a deal to the people on this forum, just shows how few webmasters are left :(
|
This is a great script and it's fantastic that Mechbunny are already providing updates with new features.
All I need now is perhaps a new template or two and some trade script integration. |

In our case, it's a feasibility issue. We are kind of tied to a very heavily modified TGPX which acts as a centralized database. It powers 22 sites, model directories, gallery embeds, and more. It has lots of custom fields and database tables. It generates more than 37,000 TGP templates per day (per model, per niche/keyword, per site, per directory, RSS and XML feeds, etc). Add to that the custom query scripts, cron jobs, etc. that go between the database server and the hosting servers via the PNet and it's just a lot of work to migrate and convert to a new platform. And when you factor in the idea of per domain licensing versus a server edition, ($50 * 22 sites = $1100 just to add the domains), it's simply not feasible when we have something that is customized and works fine right now. After some unpleasant experiences with per domain licensing (see TGPX*, Arylia*, Links Organizer, etc.) I've tended to avoid these types of agreements and these days only buy software where it is not limited by domain. Basically, you are paying an ongoing support fee for support/upgrades. But I create test domains, development domains, split testing domains, without having to buy a new domain license. Were this script priced at $250 to $300 unlimited and then an ongoing support fee, it'd be more attractive to me in that it removes some of the current and future overhead we would encounter while migrating data/sites and developing/testing new ones and new markets. In the end, it's not for us right now. Perhaps down the road we will revisit it. Having said all of that wall of text, I think it looks like an amazing script and looking forward to seeing what webmasters come up with. I think it's a great addition as well for those expanding their networks. * To be fair, both TGPX and Arylia decoded their scripts to allow for self-support and customization and, thus, removal of domain specific limitations, to their credit. |
Well said. Would buy it myself if there was an unlimited version, would be nicer to pay a fee for updates/support instead.

The question now is who is going to step up and start providing templates for this new script ? That's the biggest roadblock right now, having designers who understand the script and it's features so that template designs take advantage of everything in a seamless but uniquely designed way. |

That being said, it's pretty easy to throw custom designs at this script. :2 cents: |

The Mechbunny tube script is fantastic, but having to wait to be issued serial numbers is a pain in the ass, especially on weekends. It was much easier for clients when the script wasn't partially encrypted and reliant on serials.
I wish Konrad would automate the process. :2 cents: |
Anyone currently using the new TGP script? How is it? Easy to get templated?
Thanks! |

I like the script very much as far as templetizing it is not difficult but it has a small learning curve

The templating system is very similar to the tube script - anyone who can skin that will be able to do this wihtout any issues

I would definitely order a copy if there were more non-exclusive designs that go with the script. This way, not so sure. +1 for more templates! :thumbsup |

Thanks Konrad.
Seems like I need a hybrid. TGP script with minimal video options. I'll have to dig in and see if either script would work good for what I want. 80% photos and 20% videos. |

thanks for the sitemap url |
Message me when the social platform script can be looked at... I'm looking for one right now....
|
Will do, it will be a while though
|
Thanks!!
|
If we bought the Tube script, do we get the TGP script for free?
Just asking ;-) |
I would love the tgp script if webmasters could submit their links too.
I need a simple link submission script and prefer it to be by you! |
