I once had a suitcase almost filled with FreeOnes swag when they (US customs) decided I needed to be searched. Another fun time was at CZ customs after the Prague show. I won a dracula Flashlight and only had a carry on. This customs lady opens up my case, grabs out the flashlight and asks me what it is. So I take of the top and show her the little dracula mouth. She touches it, calls another female custom, they both look at it, touch it a bit and aftre 30 seconds you could see on their faces they figured out what it was for. We all had a great laugh over it as all was fine :1orglaugh

Well, consider this: you have porn website and it is available for visitors from that country where you are visiting. If porn is illegal there, you can be charged for spreading it into that country or in general.

It is very easy to get under another country's laws. For example if I target Adwords ads to USA; I am under US laws regarding those ads and the business I am advertising. Even if I haven't or never will step my foot on US soil. With internet, it is very easy to get involved with another country's laws.

You have to assume customs in the USA knows what you do. Tell the truth if asked. Lying is a worse crime to them.

A couple of adult webmasters have been busted in Asia. It's public record. A Swedish couple was once booked in Germany and a few guys have been taken in Turkey, Costa Rica and Brazil.

It all depends on a lot of factors. A model on your website might have worn a bikini with the national flag of a country that makes it illegal to use such symbols for illicit use and you could be busted. It does not matter when it happened as long as it was less than 10 years ago it could be good for trouble. You could apply for visas in respective countries before traveling to make sure you are not in trouble. They won't issue a visa should you be a persona non grata.

So what? If you host the content outside the country where it is forbidden, you should be fine with it. For example, I may have my own gun store in the USA (where it is legal). Everybody can have access to it. E.g. you can come to the USA from France and visit my store there. As long as it's legal where it's physically located, nobody should care if it legal or not outside of that place.
