It's not any of their business what you do outside their territory.

Yes, each country has its own laws. If I have my own country at one day; it will be punishable to eat french fries in France, or hamburgers in Hamburg. If you visit my country and we find out or have found out your felony; you are busted.

Countries can punish for whatever they want. The only problem they have is the capability to punish, but if you are inside their borders, they are able to reach you.

No it isn't. That guy was Iranian and I bet someone among the muslim community has probably denounced him.

Never heard of tourists visiting a particular country and getting arrested in there for something they had done outside that country, unless they were on the list of internationally wanted criminals of course.

Play by their rules and you are safe. :2 cents:

Guys who faced? Closed our Czech friend who came to visit family in Minsk. Suspected spread of adult content in Belarus. All confiscated due to them not only with the investigator. Where to start? Can anyone have contacts on lawyers in these cases? Man is not an AVM in general, have no idea how this happened. HELP anyone who can infoy in PM that reasonable to do than help. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, I could not find contact an attorney who now (the 10th hour of the evening in Minsk already) is ready to go there. Agreed only for tomorrow + a couple of contacts expect from friends. No one wants to get involved at this stage, even those who could. The investigator said that he would be taken to jail after questioning. From the very guy talk do not give all the information only through the investigator. Minutes of the reasons of arrest signed by the deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Belarus. All I can do now, I'm trying to do - ping lawyers, find friends, gather information. The question of money is not relevant. If anyone has any other ideas, I will be grateful.

I heard everyone on the Phuket Summit get arrested and sentenced to death!

But i never had problems in Thailand, stayed there more than 1 year in total.
I would avoid some countries, get your name out of the whois, encrypt your laptop with truecrypt.
but i don't 'own' websites anymore, just a hosting provider now.

freecartoonporn 03-05-2015 12:19 AM

TRY THIS

google your real name , if it lists with some online sites and or domains in in adult niche then you are fucked.

Skyworker 03-05-2015 01:49 AM

lol

I once had a suitcase almost filled with FreeOnes swag when they (US customs) decided I needed to be searched. So a big (and I mean BIG) lady goes through it and pulls out one of those Freeones thongs. Holds it in the air, looks at me and asks "What is this?!?!" So i just answered, a thong. She got pissed, closed the suitecase (slammed it) and told me to get the hell out lmao.

Another fun time was at CZ customs after the Prague show. I won a dracula Flashlight and only had a carry on. This customs lady opens up my case, grabs out the flashlight and asks me what it is. So I take of the top and show her the little dracula mouth. She touches it, calls another female custom, they both look at it, touch it a bit and aftre 30 seconds you could see on their faces they figured out what it was for. We all had a great laugh over it as all was fine :1orglaugh

Good times.

Well, consider this: you have porn website and it is available for visitors from that country where you are visiting. If porn is illegal there, you can be charged for spreading it into that country or in general.

It is very easy to get under another country's laws. For example if I target Adwords ads to USA; I am under US laws regarding those ads and the business I am advertising. Even if I haven't or never will step my foot on US soil. With internet, it is very easy to get involved with another country's laws.

Phoenix 03-05-2015 04:45 AM

You have to assume customs in the USA knows what you do. Tell the truth if asked. Lying is a worse crime to them.

Why even go to iran or such places?

I cross a land border into the USA twice a month, never had one single issue when asked what I do. "Online advertising" is my response, they don't question it much, may ask from time to time how it's going, I say good, they tell me to have a nice day.

You have to be crazy, alot of these countries force registars to share whois records with them. I know at least 2 guys in jail right now for the exact thing you mentioned.

Do not travel to any countries that are anti porn! Unless you have $100k on hand to bribe the customs. Do not even think of it.

I agree with MetaMan & TheSquealer, don't do it. The world is a huge place. Only travel to countries that are porn friendly.

It wouldn't surprise me if some countries had the ability to use facial recognition to match passport photos with other photos of that person on the Internet. If not now, then it can't be too far in the future. Drag and drop a picture into Google Images and it will show you similar pictures.

Given the illegality of porn and the Middle East, I was very surprised reading Breanne B's Twitter last year, when she announced that she was moving to Dubai.

Have webmasters been in trouble while travelling before? Or do countries where porn is illegal just target their citizens.

Because I have left adult I would not be working on my sites, carrying any pornographic material on me nor would I be shooting content.

Thanks for all your help and hope this thread can be helpful to others too.

A couple of adult webmasters have been busted in Asia. It's public record. A Swedish couple was once booked in Germany and a few guys have been taken in Turkey, Costa Rica and Brazil.

It all depends on a lot of factors. A model on your website might have worn a bikini with the national flag of a country that makes it illegal to use such symbols for illicit use and you could be busted. It does not matter when it happened as long as it was less than 10 years ago it could be good for trouble. You could apply for visas in respective countries before traveling to make sure you are not in trouble. They won't issue a visa should you be a persona non grata.

InfoGuy 03-05-2015 08:45 PM

You should avoid flying over or near anti-porn countries due to the albeit slim possibility of an emergency landing.

Actually, what happened in Ukraine is that the rebels found out that there is porn webmaster in that airplane, and shot it down.

MetaMan 03-06-2015 05:30 AM

Don't listen to 99% of these idiots. Look at who they are. Loser reps or shitty photographers who barely sell enough to cover their rent. They have never owned a real traffic site or done shit except share a couple drinks at shows.

They act like its no big deal because in general they are complete nobodies.

Can a gun owner travel to a country where firearms are forbidden? Course you can. Just make sure you're doing it without a glock in your bag ;)

He-he :) I know one guy, who came to CZ webmaster party with a bag of t-shirts with a logo of some Russian adult webmaster board. The custom officer said that there are too many of them and that guy has to pay a tax like they (t-shirts) are intended for sale. That guy did not agree and started a fight (literally) with Czech customs. In result, he's got kicked buy a bunch of Czech officers, spent a night in a prison and was send out from CZ w/o a right to visit that country for a next year or two :)

So what? If you host the content outside the country where it is forbidden, you should be fine with it. For example, I may have my own gun store in the USA (where it is legal). Everybody can have access to it. E.g. you can come to the USA from France and visit my store there. As long as it's legal where it's physically located, nobody should care if it legal or not outside of that place.

What a dumbass unprofessional custom official. I understand you were just happy to get through but she should be reported. Not her duty to have an opinion about a thong in your luggage. If it's not a thong made out of cocaine that is lol.

Maybe she got pissed off cause the thong was so small compared with her own size she would tear it apart if she tried it on. It all makes sense now.

Course not. The board I'm talking about was established in 1999 or 2000 and it has nothing to do with GFY. The board you have mentioned above is mostly about pharma.
