Nah, what's stupid is that we would allow a congress that can't figure out where the
president was born to decide anything about Iran.

"unprecedented"

George Will Confirms Nixon's Vietnam Treason | Common Dreams | Breaking News & Views for the Progressive Community

Really, someone in Iran must know US history to know it's not unprecedented whatsoever. They bought arms from Reagan for fuck sakes in an equally huge act of treason nobody seems to give a shit about.

Republicans in Congress... they want to help Ben get re-elected and want Iran to stay scary (they're scary! - Dana Carvey as Bush Sr.). Congrats on your plan, boys. Keep doing nothing, maybe it'll work this time.

You've read only your right wing news sources then.. They very much plan to bring it before Congress..

That was never proved as ransom paid to Iran for the hostages' release. :upsidedow

If this weren't enough, George Bush Sr, then went on to attack Iraq the sworn enemy of Iran and one of the few non Islamic run states in the middle east. Not the best place to live but at least Saddam kept the extremist at bay..

Fast forward to Bush Jr and he stirs up the hornets nest once again in Afghanistan then walks away to go Invade Iraq once again. Pretty much by just waving a dick around and telling everyone it's raining and wonders why they all get pissed off when no one believes him..

Now we have Iran working hand and hand with Iraq & Republicans wanting us to arm Syrian rebels.. If this weren't enough we are best buddies with Saudi Arabia whom is just as bad or worse than any of the other regimes. Not to mention many of the 9/11 high jackers were from Saudi and Bush jr allowed Saudi royal family members to skirt out of the US with out being questioned after 9/11. Members whom were later shown to have helped support the attack.

Seriously I'm torn between.. are Republican Neo Cons still trying to start WW3 or are they implanted Muslim extremists trying to take over the world while we all think they are good ole god fearing Christians... :1orglaugh

Your logic is good, but you are not seeing that both Republicans and Democrats are idiots and have caused over the years the mess in the World order.

What happened to another Ike's dictum referring to some tin pot dictator ..... " I know he is a bastard, but he is OUR bastard"

So:

Come back Reza Pahlavi ALL is forgiven
Come back Tito ALL is forgiven
Come back Saddam ALL is forgiven ( and yes keep Kuwait and we'll give you Quatar)
Come back Colonel Khaddafi ALL is forgiven
Come back Mubarak ( or help Sisi)

And

Hey Assad, you are a bastard but you are our bastard.
Hey Sisi, you are a bastard but you are our bastard
Hey Putin, you are a bastard but you SHOULD be our bastard

.... and so it goes.

oh and here's General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the USA joint chiefs of staff stating on the fucking record that Iranians are not fighting in Iraq. And the gains in Tikrit are also on account of USA dropping bombs. so again, Iranians wiping the floor with ISIS in Iraq is misleading.

dumbfuck.

More than 20,000 troops and Iranian-backed Shi'ite Muslim militias known as Hashid Shaabi, supported by local Sunni Muslim tribes, launched the offensive for Tikrit 10 days ago, advancing from the east and along the Tigris river.

The United States says Baghdad did not seek aerial backup from the coalition in the Tikrit campaign. Instead, support on the ground has come from neighboring Iran, Washington's longtime regional rival, which has sent an elite Revolutionary Guard commander to oversee part of the battle.

not treason, but:

§ 953. Private correspondence with foreign governments.

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government, or the agents thereof, for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

.. it's a felony.. probably why they're trying to pass this off as 'a joke' currently

Once again, Crockett in his manic quest to attack the other side doesn't even realize he's using satire aimed at people like him. Of course, he'll say he's trolling and not just a bitter, homeless lunatic.

Here are the twitter accounts of the 47 Senators that signed the open letter to the Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran. #Fail47 & the Followers!

Just added Governor Bobby Jindal who officially signed the letter on Tom Cotton's website.

either way is fine with me but everything I've read stated that the shiites are being supported by iranians and the main iranian overlord general of the iranians is there in Iraq and probably is implementing strategy in some degree, but from everything I've read, including the comments of the CHief of Staff, Iranians are not on the front lines there/not fighting.

again, either way, as long as we are not doing it, I couldn't be bothered. No matter what it's a disaster there. whatever we did to contribute to it over the decades, whatever millenium old enemies have been at odds, what's the difference. in fact, I couldn't care less if Iran got to make nuclear materials either, i mean really. as long as we stay out of it all over there.

Did anyone else realize that the leadership of Iran has a western education that collectively probably trumps the knuckledraggers who wrote and signed that letter?

Doesn't mean we should trust them, but they're a little more sophisticated that they get credit for.

So educated...and yet they believe in religious fairytales.

Why are people so blind when it comes to "religion"? Apparently you can be as "educated" as you want and STILL be a religious nutcase. :(

Uh.. yeah. I have nothing to contribute to the "discussion" of the "article" which is clearly satire and not real but that you thought was real.... other than to point out that you are a bitter and deranged homeless lunatic and its an idiotic discussion about something that didn't happen. If that's "nothing to contribute", I suppose you got me there...
