They didn't change them just because of North Korea.. We always change our bills designs just like any other country in the world. Old bills are still very much in circulation.

They change the bills every so often to make it harder to counterfeit, but it was not in direct result to anything NK did.. they routinely change the bills, not always just by look but often minor things which you would never see..
