Like I said earlier. It's the way our bodies are supposed to work. |

Right now, I weight 196 -- but my gut is gone, so I'd call that progress. The muscle added is what I attribute the weight to. |

That activity deals mostly with my blood sugars and eats that shit up so i don't have to fire as much insulin and the icing on the cake is i get to eat carbs to support the lifestyle! and not to mention eat bacon and drink booze, very much in moderation. and sleep good too! :1orglaugh you know! |
How can people not eat carbs? This is the stuff where you take energy from. Do not eat them before going to bed (supper etc), but not during breakfast...
And what more - your diet should be ballanced, carbs, proteins, fat etc. Why people decide to cut something out is beyond me (except for weight losing agenda). |

I think they are both profoundly good choices to make, i just found that IF is much much more natural for me. i grew up not eating breakfast! :1orglaugh The hard part to figure out and sort out was proper proportions and balance. that took quite a while of counting calories and very closely taking inventory of what i eat. there's an app for that! :1orglaugh |

I consider macro ratios (carbs, fat protein) while adjusting calories as per my goals and activity level. When I'm gaining weight I eat 3500 cals a day, 40p/40c/20f, when I'm on a cut, 1800-2000, 50p/25c/25f.
Bad food always makes me feel like shit. So I avoid it mostly with the exception of family functions. |
carbs are the best source of energy

Fat and carbs are not the enemy, too many calories are.

anything with a bit of rice

Different people's bodies do best on different diets. We are not all the same.
At the moment, my first meal of the day is a little protein (usually wild-caught fish) and a variety of cooked green veggies -- broccoli, green beans, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, etc. I mix up what I eat regularly. |

I've just started eating lowcarb again for the 575th time. It's a great way to lose weight, my mood and well-being is better and I have higher levels of energy but the food is pretty boring.
Don't get me wrong, you can make delicious lowcarb food but I miss pizza, beer and all those things. People that say "carbs are the needed and the best source of energy" must be athletes that need that fast energy rush that sugars give. When in ketosis I have much smoother energy-levels throughout the day than while eating carbs. |
